Ely Buendia and the Eraserheads concert

Stratmark in the morning.
Markprof booboo in the afternoon.

TIME FOR SOME REAL RELAXATION. Tara game, Eraserheads.

Fa and I bought the Patron tickets (Php 1,372 each). We found fa's friends, I tried the portalet, and then I went to Cha and Tash. They were part of the ushers of the VIP area. Due to a miracle and a little begging, Tash's boyfriend got me two green bands a.k.a VIP PASSES.
MAMATAY NA KAYONG LAHAT SA PATRON.

I pulled Fa out of the Patron area and walk galantly to the VIP area. We were with indie bands, mainstream bands like Rivermaya, Orange and Lemons, Kamikazee and moonstar88 to name a few. Celebrities like Sam Oh and Janus del Prado, and UAAP star Wesley Gonzales were very close. (Lalu na si Janus, ang cuuute.)

ALAPAAP. Tae super energy overload hindi ko ma contain. Gaaaawd I waited years and years to watch them live. (videos on my multiply site)

After FRUITCAKE Ely sat on stage, sort of trying to catch his breath.

20 MINUTE BREAK.

The band and Ely's sister went upstage and said that Ely was rushed to the hospital. His health was really in bad condition.

Yun pala, his mom died last Thursday (28th). Puyat pa sila from soundcheck. Hindi kinaya ng puso ni Ely.

Sayang rin they didn't sing PARE KO (omg!!!), Magasin and huling el bimbo. And Overdrive also! But PARE KO is what I was super looking forward to. It's their first song ever. And ewan ko, it's like connected to my childhood. Na feeling ko cool pag alam mo yung song.

We all left silently. Except for a few uneducated and stupid people (and you call yourself fans? hindi naman kayo understanding!!!) Who said 'T*ngina naman kakanta ka lang di ka naman mamamatay nun' I WANTED TO STAB HER RIGHT THEN AND THERE.

Until now I am at a state of shock. As of this writing I have just finished watching the opening song which Fa got on video. Watching it, you wouldn't think it'll end like that. I remember him asking us 'Okay pa ba kayo?' Yun pala siya dapat tanungin. I just wish he gets well. Iiyak ako pag may nangyari pa. jusko Lord wag po.

MAHAL KITA ELY. MAHAL KO ANG ERASERHEADS.

***
1989 pala sila nabuo. 2002 nag disband. If we do the math, I waited ALL MY LIFE to watch the concert. And 6 years for the reunion. GRABE. HISTORY RELIVED AND HISTORY MADE.

gotta love them! Pag ako nagka anak at apo, dapat alam nila ang eHeads songs. Ang pinaka magaling, favorite ko.WAHAHAHAHAHA

Fixation

Lately I've been fixated on a couple of things. Some brought about by stress, the others by sheer love for shopping.

1. Boracay - I am dying to go back to this place. huhuhu I'm so sick of Metro Manila, I need a quick escape. Do you need a quick escape too?

Photo from Flickr by Oliver Tam. Location: Discovery Shores, Boracay

2. Louis Vuitton- This brand is a killer. It's been heavily discussed last week in my Global Marketing class and even before that, my professor would mention it as an example from time to time.

These are my personal favorites.

The LV Mahina XXL in Grey which goes around $4,210 or Php 190 000.
And the Monogram Mini Lin Croisette which is at $1,680 , roughly Php 76,000.

Nakakaloka. Maybe in 10 years,I'll have one. HAHA

3. New round toe pumps. Or shoes in general. - I've always been in love with shoes.
These two pairs are from Missoni, each costs about Php 15, 000.
Of course I'm not spending 15k on a pair of shoes (for now?). Maybe something close to the designs will do. Seeing pretty shoes remind me of Ms. Chin. She always wears pretty shoes. That's what I look forward to every time we have class. Well, she failed to wear something nice once. It was a pair of black thick-strapped sandals that looked below 'nice'. I was sad that day coz her shoes were bad. HAHA (Ms. Chin, I know you 'google' yourself sometimes. Sorry but you don't deserve that hideous pair.)

And finally, fourth: Love. Always have, always will.

yeeeeeech, senti. hahaha

iPhone

So I've had my iPhone since June and I have never fully moved my sim into it for so many reasons.

1. My phone contacts cannot be easily moved therefore I must type each of them on the iPhone.
2. I cannot forward text messages. This is a huge dilemma because of my work in ABAM, i constantly need to forward a lot of messages to different people.
3. Nakakatakot mag text pag nag cocommute.

Now that iPhone is officially here in the Philippines, my iPhone isn't that cool anymore. *sighs* HAHAHA

I searched online that there's a new application that will enable the iPhone to forward messages even to multiple contacts. Finally.

Maybe once i've installed this, I can start little by little into shifting for good. But for now, it's just an iPod and instant camera to me. HAHAHA

Holy fart, there's a white iPhone that'll be available in UK. grrrrrr. I love love love it.
Pero ok lang. Mine's still special as ever coz my dad gave it to me waaay before everyone had it.
I ♥ Daddy.

Weekend work

I decided to stay at home the whole weekend for the following reasons:
1. Austerity measures (a.k.a nagtitipid)
2. Lots to do, gotta start now.
3. Just some good old rest

Allow me to elaborate number 2.
For the past two nights, I have sent numerous emails to suppliers for our feasibility study. I am in charge of the technical study which I believe IS THE HARDEST PART of it. But I'm okay with it, I find the market study hard too, financial study is so out of my league, on the other hand I feel management study is the mildest of them all but still needs a lot of research.

Last night one Philippines-based supplier emailed in response to my inquiry. I was glad he sent feedback but it wasn't exactly what I asked for. He asked how much we needed and that he can send a sample of 2kg of Carrageenan powder on Monday. HALLER DI NAMAN NAMIN KELANGAN. So I thought I'll just ignore it for a while. OMG this morning, at 8 AM, the supplier CALLED ME. I was so groggy, having slept at 4 in the morning already (coz I watched What Women Want, the movie about marketing haha). I had to instantly act very lively and explained to him what our situation was. He was, I bet, disappointed that he wasn't gonna make a sale but I just settled with the fact that Pinoys are just really natural sales people. So ayun, we agreed to communicate via email so that I can include their company in our feasib's database. Half-awake, I forced my mind to sleep again and yes, I woke up at 1 pm. haha

Anyhooo, I mentioned watching What Women Want. Sir Acedera showed us a portion of the movie in class sometime last month. I downloaded it right after but I never had the chance to watch it until last night. I liked the movie, mainly because it's in a marketeer's perspective. Insights, taglines that address the insight, the story/concept boards, amazing. Yay! Sorry if I sound geeky.

On org matters, Congratulations to UP AdCore and to the all-girls team led by Fa for bagging 1st runner up in the ActMedia In-Store Advertising Competition. Yahoooey!

Also, I have to rush a Canon Event. It's set on Sept. 2-5 and OMG it's the last week of August already. Argh! Join the photo contest and win prizes from Canon!

Tomorrow my 172 group shall meet to do two brand frameworks- Wonder and ETC. Gosh, brand framework galooooore. It's really good practice though. But sometimes it feels too much. howell papel, hopefully I put all these to good use and make lots of cash from it. HAHA

Hurray to a productive weekend, y'all!

I got tagged

Mommy Marice tagged me on Multiply. But since I had this account, I never blogged na on Multiply. I decided to take a break from all the feasibness and CEO-ness so here it is!

RULE: List all the names you were called by and the people who call you that. Tag at least 5 members of your contacts and leave them a comment of their site for them to know they've been tagged.

Ads/ Adz- all my friends from school
Lee- Family and Punky (the last person who calls me Lee in BA. Dati si Jun Lee rin tawag sa akin but everyone seems to call me Adz, so nasanay na rin siya. haha
Adeli- some elementary friends fondly call me by this
Deli- Owen, my friend since grade school
Lydia- hahaha gaguhan lang minsan with friends
Mare- of course Farrah Jem calls me this. Eventually sila Emm, Punky, Nica also. It's such a marehan world. hahaha And mind you, nauna pa kami kay Angel Locsin and Dimples Romana in Lobo. hahaha

So far these are my names in my social circle.

I tag everyone who wants to answer this. YAY!

MEGA TAKAS.

I drove my dad's car today my way to TBS. To be safe, I took Raisia with me so that in case I panic, she'd drive it for me. hahaha I won't elaborate though, coz I might get caught. On my way home though, I forgot to release the handbrake FOR THE NTH TIME. Actually, I released it at the ecopark but I had to stop to drop off Jay-Ar and Chloe so I pulled the brake again. When I waved byebye, I immediately stepped on the clutch and did all that. OMG BUTI NALANG NAKA UWI AKO. shucks, super nakaka nerbyos. Sorry Daddy. Don't worry, the car is safe.

Anyhooo, yesterday it was raining soooo hard we can't even see a few meters farther through raisia's car window. It was THAT hard and I had plans (talaga) to cancel TBS.

When I got home, I prayed and prayed so hard and when Raish and I got to the EcoPark in the morning, we did the sundance. Afterall, there's no harm in trying. Throughout the day, rain clouds went on and off, and it made me so worried that rain might pour anytime. I battled in once, twice, calling unto God not to let it rain, 'not now', I said. I inserted segments of sundance in between my prayers. I tried to stretch my charms with God. Boy did He listen. We've accomplished all our tasks without a single drop of rain falling from the sky.

Looks like the sun dance works? hahahaha Of course, malakas ako kay Papa God. I bet even my mom prayed that it wouldn't rain. She even checked on me sometime while we were playing 'mine field'.

Basta, point is we enjoyed TBS! Here are some highlights.

'Hihintayin kita sa langit' game. hahaha

'Catch me, I'm falling' game

We also had a multi-way tug-of-war. We had 'strategic alliances' pa. hahaha

Project facilitators had their own chance to the multi-way play tug-of-way also. But lots of joking had to be done before we actually played. *inside jokes, hahaha*

And of course, dahil pinagkalat ko na dun shinoot yung movie, everyone else did the sun dance at the Shell Flower Terraces. hahaha Keri lang, una pa rin ako. wahahahaha!

Last Dance Syndrome

Today I went to the La Mesa Ecopark with my directors Kaye and Marc. We did an ocular visit for TBS this Saturday. After paying 20 bucks for the entrance, we decided to walk around instead of riding their electric car.

Guess what I saw...
If you've seen THE movie, you'll realize this is where SHE did this...

HAHAHA! YES. I walked on the very ground that Miggy Montenegro walked on. And sun-danced exactly where Laida did. San ka pa diba? hahahaha!

I'm excited for TBS. After the activities, I wanna go boating, paintball and wall climbing. YAY!

See you there! ;)

It's Daddy day today

Highlights of my day: 177 make-up class and feasib meeting turned chismis time with Fa, Emm and Weng hahaha

In 177, we were discussing innovation. Brands that lived and died were attractions in the topic. And three brands reminded me of my Dad.

Safeguard hand sanitizer- now dead. HAHAHA Sir Acedera passed around a bottle of the sanitizer and I remembered the numerous bottles we had back in my high school days. I texted my mom immediately saying 'Ma, may safeguard sanitizer bottles pa ba jan? Itago mo naman. Walal lang, dinidiscuss kasi ngayon sa make-up class namin. Collector's item na kasi yan. haha' Mom replied so fast saying 'Wala na pangalan. Gamit para sa hand wash.' I laughed but instructed her to take care of the bottle still. haha What reminded me of my dad was that the handwash was actually a collection of little soaps, mixed with water to become liquid soap. Diba sulit? Walang sayang! hahaha My dad and his little ways.

Krispy Kreme donuts. For the record, their branch in High Street gives away around 3,000 donuts a day. (you know, when the lines are long they feed you with glazed donuts. haha) And they sell around 2,000 DOZENS of donuts a day. How's that for a sales report? hahaha So back to my Daddy... When they visited me here last summer, I accompanied them to TriNoMa since it'll be their first time in the mall. After they have shopped, my dad craved for GoNuts Donuts and I said 'Wag nang GoNuts! May Krispy Kreme dito!' My dad was so game and said 'Oh sige halika saan yun?' So the four of us (my kuya wasn't with us) went to Krispy Kreme. My dad carefully examined the wide display of donuts, his face barely a foot away from the glass. He gave me money and told me which ones he wanted and added 'Bili ka one dozen. Basta akin yung *says 2 variants but i forgot which haha*'. So there, the story of how my Dad binged on Krispy Kreme. It's funny he loved eating only when he got older. Now he gets quarter pounders from McDo too!

Karaoke. Specifically the Magic Sing. I remembered two Christmases ago, we had a magic sing here at home (borrowed from my tita who received it as a gift). We sang the whole evening and my dad got bored he got up and chose a song- Can't take my eyes off you and started singing. Joop danced to the beat and OMG my dad gave the microphone to Joop saying 'Ikaw kumanta ako sasayaw.' HAHAHA I have a video of it actually. Watching it, I cried. Wala lang, miss ko na sila lahat.
One of my favorite photos. Taken by our mom. I was a freshman here.

And when I got home, I immediately logged on YM because I had to catch the ABAM conference. I totally forgot to tell Mom that I got home safe. I didn't check my phone soon so I found her text an hour after I received it. Even if it was already 11:25 in the evening, I still replied to her and added 'I love you' at the end of the message.

It's been so stressful lately that I always find myself fighting the urge to go home to Iloilo. I just want to be there. Not worrying about anything. I want my mom to take care of me. I want to go to mass with them. I want my dad to drive for us. I just want to be a kid and not have a care in the world. But I can't. I'm 19. And with the recent things in my life, I don't even feel like 19. Feeling ko I'm 20ish. Having to worry about my life after school, my source of income, my plans. LAHAT YAN. Anyhooo, I'm sooo waiting for sembreak. Because it means feasib is done, I'm going home for a vacation and of course, sembreak plans with friends. YAY!

Hay naku! Such an emo day. I love you friends! Thank you for the hug, Mare. I love you! I love you Mom and Dad and Joop and Jom.

Ang sarap ng may friends. Mas masarap when you show it off to others who took them for granted. HAHAHA WINK!

A Very Special Love

OMG Ditch being conio and watch the movie. I watched it with Fa, Weng, Raisia, and Vicki at Eastwood. TODO TAWA KUNG TAWA TALAGA. And of course, TODO KILIG.

I firmly believe you BA people who are affected by the current issues must watch the movie. You'll see. HAHAHA

Forgive me but ONLY John Lloyd can make me watch a Pinoy movie willingly. HAHAHA

Okay enough of the movie. I won't post spoilers. Go watch it and lemme know watchatink!

You fight harder when you're fighting for someone else

CONGRATULATIONS SENIORS!
BACBACAN @ the DAR gymnasium.

MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS IN HISTORY:

1. "Don't push me!" Raisia said to the "Mother of all Aseros". HAHAHA

2. FUTSAL VICTORY. Futsal was introduced to Bacbacan in our Sophomore year and since then, we were always last. NOT THIS TIME. We sweat it out last night in our first and last session with our coach Jon Albaniel. Thanks to him and Marco, we learned enough to get us to third place in Futsal. OMG I AM SO PROUD OF THIS. I LOVE THE TEAM.

3. Weng said I kicked the "Mother of all Aseros" in the stomach while playing futsal. HAHAHA Jackpot!

3. VOLLEYBALL sweep. Yey!

4. BASKETBALL HEART ATTACK for all of us. OMG They tied at the last 10 or so seconds and we super died. Buti nalang Jun made a three point shot which tied the game and gave a chance for overtime. Yay!

5.Our sleeping mat. GREAT HELP. I LOVE IT!

6. CHEERDANCE. Two years in a row na tayong champions, wooohoooo! (will post video soon.)
