PIPINO VEGAN CHALLENGE
Apartment friends and I decided to check out Pipino Vegetarian for dinner sometime last week. We're fans of Pino but never tried its vegetarian counterpart so I figured it'll be a nice change.
Honestly, I feel most of the dishes are bland (for my taste, at least). I personally expected that vegan restos would make up for the lack of meat through interesting and rich flavors. The only dishes I recommend are the vegetarian kare-kare (it's just Pino's bagnet kare-kare without the bagnet), vegetable tempura platter, the pancit canton (with buckwheat noodles), and the desserts.
The egg-less chocolate cake it most and yummy! Their ice creams are also interesting. I like the buco ice cream. Not a big fan of the chocolate and banana ice creams. hehe
And oh, the place is lovely! It's like a sosyal pre-school. So cute! It's a nice peg for a studio unit if you're into clean, fresh, spaces.

Clockwise: Ana, Carms, Berns,
my new washi tapes which I got earlier that day,
the Pipino work station, and with Mau.
Bacolod
One of the provinces that hold a special place in my heart is Bacolod. I've been there countless of times, each one, a different story. The trip to Bacolod for Masskara with my BA friends (and other BA batches) is definitely one of my favorite memories.
Cuties in the plane, everyday inasal galore, hike at Mambukal, Ruins, dinner at Hacienda Javelosa, Mushu nights, trike ride from Mushu to Planta hotel (because walang taxi!), five-peso bibingka at the plaza.

I love you mare! If you didn't come back and listen to me for 5 minutes, that night would have been a disaster.

Chronicling my Thursday
Thursday- took my friends to dinner at Chocolate Kiss. WE HAD THE LAUGH OF OUR LIVES! They had this guitar and violin duo playing good music for us. This is another reason why I love ChocoKiss. And the kuya waiters are just cool. They've been there since I was in my freshman year. Love it. I hope they're still there when I go on a date/s- whenever that is. hahaha
We moved to Cantina after. We had margarita grande, weng-weng and finally Zombie tower. I'm telling you guys, zombie is a traitor ok? It tastes soooo good- like four seasons juice but after your first glass, the alcohol will kick in. CRAAAAAAZY!!!
WE LAUGHED SOME MORE.
We proceeded to McDonald's so have fries and sober up.
I shake my head at the 'kids' who were vomiting in McDo's sink and in the ladies' comfort room. But it's good to see that they had sober friends to make sure they're uhh, safe. It did enter my mind a few times that maybe they tried to drink after watching the latest episode of Glee. HAHAHA
The irony here is that of all days, my artsy friends didn't bring a camera that the night. Then again, some best nights I've had with friends don't have photos to document it. Just laughter- lots of it.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT 2011
We've always wanted to do a sleepover edition of our GNO but none of us could accommodate in our own houses so we decided to do it in a hotel. We never got to do it though- due to crazy schedules plus, we couldn't decide which hotel to take.
Luckily, Jen won an overnight stay at the Pen during P&G's Christmas party and she was so sweet to share it to us. Of course we said yes immediately! Hello, Manila Pen!

Our bathroom is almost as big as the room. Took this photo inside the tub. haha

The bed- super soft- I love it!
GNO: Fa, Ja, Jen, Adz

Midnight snack: Mini Stop fried chicken, rice, pretzels, nutella, mint cookies.

Plate #2 of the 2k worth breakfast buffet. I wish I discovered the pancakes immediately. I had rice in my first plate- so I was kinda full already. But it was sooo yummy especially with the cream cheese and butter and crispy bacon. I just had to say 'I'M KILLING MYSELF'. That breakfast was so sinful but no regrets!
Thank you Lord for the lovely weekend. Wish it happens again. Sofitel naman! haha :D

Confession
I seem to have forgotten where I left my blogging mojo (if I had any at all). Twitter sorta killed that part of me that wants and craves for a blogpost. But I'm working on it. hihi
I did write an entry about the strip party we had but I never posted it because I wasn't satisfied with how I put that night into words.
Anyway, I have three days left before flying to Iloilo. Saturday was fitness day with Jen. For the first time, Rach Sison joined us. Super mega endorse pa man din ako kay Rach to take classes with Coach Prince. Lo and behold, he made us do a solo freestyle in class! UGH. It was nice to know he remembers me but it wasn't the best feeling to be at the center of a circle of students and dancing while they all watch. Yikes! After the class, Jen and I had lunch and played badminton for an hour and a half before calling it a day.
I decided to hear mass because I was anticipating major body pains when I wake up the next day. But for some reason, I texted RC if he was going to the ABAM culminight party. I wasn't expecting he'd say yes because RC isn't exactly the partying kind of type but yes, he was planning on going. I hated myself for texting in mass because I hate people who do it but whatev. Suzie and Mark came too. Sir Capistrano was in the party as well. Kinda crazy to see him drink and grind on the dance floor.

"Oldies" Sir Capistrano, Oskie, RC, Issa, myself, Mark and Suzie (Photo from Chikk)
I met a lot of new members. There was one who looked like Bruno Mars- we just had to take a photo with him! I planned on going home early so I can wake up for the UP-DLSU game at 10 am the next day but fail. We left the party at 1, stayed at McDo and talked til 4 in the morning.

With Oskie, Suzie, Nico aka Bruno Mars

For comparison. Photo from Google.
Needless to say I did not make it to the game. But not really because I failed to wake up. I actually manage to get out of bed at 8:30. Unfortunately my friend Mau couldn't leave their college sports fest so I decided to just go to the mall coz I don't want to watch the game alone.
The game was a draw btw. So Mau and I have this theory which I will elaborate in a future post. We still have to verify if the results are replicable. hehe
One last thing! I'm really loving the weather lately. It's so perfect I wish it stays this way. Sunny but cool- sarap!

Less than four weeks in Manila
I'll be in Manila for less than a month and then I'm flying back to Iloilo for Dad's birthday and THE match.
Let me just share that I'm having the time of my life! Since I got back, I have been going out with different friends- just catching up and doing things JUST BECAUSE. Today is my 9th day here and five of those nine days I was out of the house. LOVE IT!
Just to refresh your memory, part of my 2011 goal is to just do more things- go out more, just make the most of my free time. And so far it's working great! It's too early to tell of course but if it's always this fun (and the weather cooperates) I wouldn't have any trouble keeping it up.
Some photos:
ABAM Homecoming

With ABAM execore members 2008-2011. :)
(Yikes, it seems like the photos are auto-compressed when it doesn't fit the column. If you're interested, just check the photos on Facebook.hehe )
Watched UAAP football (UP vs Ateneo) with my friend Mau and new 'friends' Kitty and Ayi. (Yay, part of my 2011 goal is to meet new people) This is the second day I watched. Didn't bring my camera on the first day. Spot my crush! hahaha
Yesterday I also watched The Tourist. The movie's good! Quite short though.

*photo from Google
I'm still waiting for my confirmation mail from the PFF for the grandstand tickets for the match next month. I'm quite positive I'll get a reply next week.
And tomorrow, my January birthday friends are hosting a videoke/pool/stripper party in a resort in Antipolo! I'm excited!
Will post more photos soon!

WISH KO LANG!
Merry Christmas everyone! Just posting some snippets from Twitter.
Earlier I listed my wishes this Christmas. The photo is too small. Here's what's written.
That we will all love our country a little more so that we can all start building this nation together.
That working friends find the work-life balance we all want.
That friends who are still in school stay inspired and focused so that one day they will finally see the fruits of their hard work.
That those who feel lost will have patience and finally find where they really belong.
That we may all travel and discover things about our destination and ourselves.
That we may all find answers, even if the answer is 'no'.
That everyone's families stay happy and healthy so that we can all make more memories together! :)
And finally (and most especially)… That all my single friends receive the love they deserve at the perfect time.♥
The responses I got are sooo cute! Here are some of them.
Happy birthday Jesus! I hope you're havin' a blast! Thanks for being there even if I'm not the kindest person in the world. You've never turned your back on me and I know you never will. You never tire of listening to my prayers even if they're the same every night. That's why you are amazing. Sending my hug to the heavens! :))

Pat's Awesome SARAP Party
First one I attended. Pat's 21st birthday, December 2007
21 shots for 21 years
Me, Emm, Miggy, Vicki, and Jon
Anabee,Edge,Pat, Miggy,Jaz, Lori, Cheska
I think most of us went home sober here. I repeat, MOST.
December 2008
This was by far, THE craziest one. Everyone was drunk, I did this synchronized vomit session with Emm and Cheska by the gutter, lotsa glasses were broken, the place was trashed. People crawled to get to their houses. Some slept in their bathrooms when they got home. As for me, I spent the night on the sofa, with a basin on the floor and a pitcher of water. I was vomiting until the break of dawn (no kidding). This party got us banned from the venue for a year I think.
And the latest one, December 2010.

Early birds Lianne, Vicki, Jon, Paolo, myself and Jewel
We got to try all the drinks first before the crowd started pouring in.

If you noticed, most of the shots were taken outdoors. That's because Pat's Law school friends were busy dancing inside. Grabe yung energy nila, di kami naka-position sa dance floor. But the (almost) traditional STOP by the Spice Girls got all the ladies dancing. We even got the boys to follow suit. hahaha Such a fun song! Universal anthem of the ladies!
The BA crowd spent the night catching up with each other. It's different when everybody's doing their own thing. We all have stories to tell. But it was so much fun I totally felt like I was back in college. And then sometime that night Pat declared it's gonna be a yearly thing. "It's a way to keep in touch" he says.
Can't wait for 2011!
p.s. Ever since I graduated, I never had alcoholic drinks. This was the next time I had some and it was crazy. I knew the alcohol was kicking in coz I couldn't feel my cheeks. When I got home around 3 AM, I prepared myself for bed- brushed my teeth, washed my face, the works. But three hours later I woke up feeling dizzy. I got up to get myself a glass of water only to vomit it when I reached the bathroom. It's so painful when you are vomiting but nothing comes out. Ugh. And so my tweet goes...

Btw, it wasn't exactly a nap. It didn't even last 5 minutes. But I was trying to vomit and it was so painful, I had to squat on the floor and lean on the wall. My eyes were closed because that was 6 AM! haha And then around 5 in the evening, my allergies started emerging. I had red spots on my arms and legs. It happens whenever I have too much hard drinks. But I didn't mind. I was too happy to see my friends. :)

Of bad vibes and good
BV#2: I got scammed on Multiply! Grabe. Long story short: Ordered stuff, paid for them, the never arrived. And now the scammer cancelled her multiply account. I'm okay now though. Coz Last week I met our accountant who had employees who stole at least a million pesos from her. I'm charging this to experience...worth Php 1340. haha
Here comes the good vibes! Farrah and I originally planned to meet for a merienda date. We picked Eastwood which is our default venue and some hiphop event was happening that night. We've never seen a hiphop event (except Step Up 1 and 2, if that counts). We had merienda at My Thai. The event took so long to start. We've already cleared our plates and it still hasn't started. Then it began to rain. The hiphop people had to move to the roofed area of the mall. Fa and I stood at the second floor and spent a few minutes profiling the hiphop kids and assessing the event.
When the rain stopped, we walked to Watsons for an impulsive shopping spree and we saw Coach Prince. Apparently he's part of the organizing team. We didn't say hello. He looked stressed (because the rain caused so much hassle and delay). I bet he was too stressed to even remember us.
After Watsons, we went back to the mall and finally the event started. They had hiphop artists as their opening act. My goodness Fa and I have no idea about the songs. Sobrang pa-swagger effect kasi, nakaka asar. haha We were the typical usiseras- we did not know anyone, we were sooo not in hiphop clothes (read as baggy everything plus hi-cut sneaks), and we had shopping bags. We passed by Coach Prince again. He was carrying his daughter who is sooo cute. And he looks every inch a proud father. I guess it's true- kids change you. And for the second time we did not say hello. Hahaha
We went up to Red Mango to kill time but my gosh they had all these dragging opening acts that ate up our patience. Finally we went for one last look and left.
On our way to Katipunan where Fa usually drops me off, we decided to grab dinner at Banapple. Fa and I had those hilarious thank-God-we're-not-driving-or-else-we're-gonna-die level of conversation! We discussed random things. From serious stuff like careers and office happenings, to milder topics like boys, Vampire Diaries, travels, showbiz chikas, Shalala, Cristy Fermin, Juday and Ryan and everything else! Eto nalang ha- imagine dalawa lang kami pero kami yung pinaka maingay na table. HAHAHAHA ANG SAYA!
I'm so happy I spent the afternoon and evening with Fa. So much fun even if we see each other almost every week. We never get tired of talking. I kinda kidnapped her from work but I'm very happy she gladly stayed and extended to dinner.
LOVE IT WHEN FRIENDS DO WHAT THEY DO- BEING A FRIEND. AND A GOOD ONE AT THAT.
Thank you, Lord that I became friends with my weird NatSci seat mate. She's amazing!

Crushes
If you follow me on twitter, you probably read this:

Last night I went out with Fa, Jen and Ja to watch a movie. (I confess. We watched the new Kimerald movie which btw sucks. Thank God for Matet's funny lines which I think saved this movie.) Anyway, we grabbed a late dinner at Cookbook Kitchen and had the chance to catch up with everyone's lives. Fa, Jen and I see each other more often because we take dance class every Saturday while Ja, on regular days, is flanked with so much law school readings.
Probably influenced by the movie to a certain extent, we ended up writing on the paper placemat our list of 'pegs' of our respective dream guys. It'll be our checklist when, one day we finally meet someone that's worth all the trouble. haha I did tell them about the aforementioned tweet and explained how only two qualified.
You see, it's easy to call someone a crush. Someone becomes a crush for so many reasons- he's cute, funny, hot, charming, sweet, engaging, whatever. But from a crush, one needs to go through many levels that will filter that solid idea of the guy one wants to end up with. Meaning, ALL ENCOMPASSING. You have to be able to accept his personality, his profession, way of living, his way of dressing and in extreme cases, even his name. If he makes it through your filters, that's when he becomes the 'partner' material.
So just to illustrate our pegs- I will not reveal who owns the respective pegs (you can guess or maybe you saw on twitter) so here goes.
The good geek who can tame a wild girl.
The bad boy who will eventually reveal his good side when he meets the right girl.
The family guy who communicates well, loves kids and loves love.
And the artsy dude who will introduce a whole new, different, and exciting world to the lady he loves.
The best and probably the most exciting part? We are so sure of what kind of guy we want, and we just might end up with the complete opposite! Like if the girl who originally wants the family guy material falls for the bad boy. Stuff like that. HAHA
Last night's dinner was, like I put it, 'productive' for our future. If it ever happens, that is. :)) And it was one of those feel good dinners- just good friends hanging out.
P.S.
We did Michael Jackson in hiphop class today. For some weird reason Coach Prince picked me, along with Punky and two other classmates to do the sample. Punky, I understand. She always gets picked coz she's really good. But me? I couldn't even finish the routine properly. Of course I was happy but I'm puzzled. Maybe he wasn't watching me closely. HAHAHA

All I need :)
Whenever I watch Cougar Town, I enjoy those scenes where the gang randomly shows up in Jules' place. Spend the night with a bottle of wine, or their weekly breakfast thing. It's just so nice to have friends within crawling distance, literally.
I find myself missing my friends a lot. I see some of them every Saturday in dance class. We also have the occasional dinner with college friends. Once we went to the beach for the weekend. (I wonder when we'll do that again?)
Two Saturdays ago, after dance class, Fa and I picked up Jen and drove to Bonifacio High Street to do some shopping. We had so much fun laughing during the trip! I have this feeling we're slowly introducing Jen to our jologs world. Now I'm sure she knows Mon Confiado. hahaha When Fa and I dropped Jen off to her house, we passed by this lot in their village that's for sale. It was a huge lot. Enough to fit two houses and is located on the main avenue of the village.
Fa joked 'Ano bilhin na natin?' Me: Oo para araw araw dance class na sa brewing point! And then the joke went on and on until we ended up imagining paano pag tinatamad ka maglakad papuntang Brewing Point? "Eh di gumulong ka nalang. Mga sampung gulong lang or tatlong tumbling, andun ka na. O di kaya, mag kariton ka. Sabihin mo 'yaya patulak sa brewing point. Pipitikin lang ni yaya yung kariton, tapos pag naka-baba ka na, hihilahin niya na pabalik yung kariton wahahahahahaha!" Imagine that exchange of crazy punch lines between me and Fa. Good thing we weren't in EDSA or else we'd be crashing into one of the cars or buses because of laughing too much.
I love my friends! I miss them everyday as much as I miss my family. They're my family here in Manila and I cannot live without them. I wish I see everyone before I leave for Christmas vacation in Iloilo!

Saturday Night Laugh
Thank you for a beautiful day. I had so much fun in dance class today! Prince was late but it was a packed class (15 students) and coach was so hyper so it made the session more interesting. Being with friends makes it a thousand times better.
Thank you also for the chance to meet this pretty mom. Seeing her happy made it easier for me to accept certain things. I was humbled. And happy that such moment reminded me that love exists.
Thank you for reminding me that teaching is a gift. I did not quite enjoy the second class we attended. The instructor was just not connecting with us (or me, I dunno). It crossed my mind that if it was Coach Prince who was teaching that dance, it would've been easier and more enjoyable. Now I find that I'm back to my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. I somehow believe that because I learned from the best teachers, I can teach effectively. Of course, that's just my theory. :))
We dropped by Jen's house to visit her mom. Then it rained but it was quick. We had a short chat, then Fa and I went to lunch then to my place to freshen up. The rain did not stop Fa and I from dragging Jen to go to High Street and check out Muji. We laughed a lot in the car! We did a lot of walking too. Thank you for the good meal at Stock Market. Though I am sad there was no more red velvet vixen at Sonja's when we got there. We had another hilarious ride on our way home all thanks to Fa's Mom Confiado trivias.
Now my legs are tired from all the walking but I'm very happy. This happiness will hopefully last me the whole week. I'm glad that now I have Saturdays to look forward to.
Thanks, super.♥

Something Fishy
I attended my friend Ana's birthday celebration at Red Box. Originally it was gonna the usual four of us but lots of her friends from her college (Fine Arts) tagged along which brings the grand total of 11 people. I was the only 'new' person. my friend Mau, despite being from Home Economics, is pretty much part of the group because she's always tagged along in their plans. Plus, everyone knows I'm a serious 'karaoke' girl...meaning when there's karaoke, I expect everyone to sing the songs they picked- and not just mumble or worse, listen to the MTV version. So it got a little bit frustrating when songs would play and no one was taking the microphone.
Poor me, BA girl. HAHA They didn't know I was from BA though. There wasn't any chance of introducing my 'history' to everyone. I made an alibi that I had to leave at 10 because I've got work to do early the next day. But later that night, we were all warming up, food kept coming, and somehow I felt a teeny bit more comfortable so I decided to stay.
In general, it was a good night. It was interesting to be the outlier in a group. Besides, I stayed for Ana. She's a good friend so to hell with being a fish out of water, as long as she's happy because I stayed.
Earlier that night, while waiting for 7 pm to proceed to Red Box, I had an urge to get a haircut. I initially wanted to have it at Tony and Guy but I needed to wait for 40 minutes before my turn so I declined. I went to the usual Acqua and was hoping my stylist is absent so I can try Narry who's been much raved about on blogs. BUT NO. When I entered, I immediately saw my stylist and shempre, nahiya na rin ako, and I need a cut so I proceeded for a cut.
The thing i hate about my stylist Terry is that she'd always always try to persuade me to get a hair treatment. Dai, ikaw ba magbabayad nun? Hello. After finishing touches on my cut, she kept commenting 'Dry yung hair mo, ma'am. May static. Mag treatment ka.' I didn't say anything. It was getting into my nerves na talaga. Just do what you have to do with my hair k? After that cut, I paid and gave they shampoo-blowdry girl her tip. I couldn't find Terry so I left immediately. I would have looked for her and give her a tip- just because I always give one. But this time, I didn't feel any guilt not giving her one. I am sooo moving to Tony and Guy. It's a few hundreds more expensive but if it'll be a peaceful session, I'm willing to pay.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
I was excited coz Farrah and Jen are back to attend class with me and Cams. I decided to wear my old sneakers because it glides better on the floor. I left home a little past 10 am and rode the bus to Tandang Sora. If you're familiar with the bus, there's two or three steps to take to reach the row of seats. My right foot hit the last step and I felt it...I felt the sole of my shoe come off. Apparently it wasn't just an old pair. It was a very old pair. HAHAHA

So I sat on the nearest empty seat and mentally weighed my options. To hop off, go home and change shoes or pray that Jen is a size 9 and borrow from her. (Her house is located on the street beside the dance studio.) I had to risk it. I texted Jen about my dilemma. Mygosh she's a size 8 but I was desperate so I said pwede na yan! Thank God I packed a pair of slippers with me so I changed into them while on the bus. Imagine if I didn't bring slippers?! Oh Lord, you are amazing.
Just to make sure, I passed by 7-Eleven, bought a ridiculously overpriced super glue (80 pesos!!!) AND WTH IT DIDN'T REPAIR MY SHOE. Sayang yung 80 pesos. After a few minutes Fa picked me up from Jollibee beside 7-Eleven. A little after we got to the studio, Cams was already there. Jen arrived with my emergency shoes. THANK GOD THEY FIT. Literal na fit ha. As in fit na fit a.k.a. MASIKIP. :))
Now the class. There were only six girls. Four of us and then Riza (special mention #1 in session 2) and then a new girl Reg. It was a great class. Less people, more space for each of us and we belong to the same age group so it's pretty easy to get along. Coach started teaching us. At first I still felt the usual pressure I feel but I forced myself to release the tension and just dance the way I dance at home. WALA NANG HIYA HIYA! hahaha
During our waterbreak, Coach left the room so we had a chance to throw in some comments like 'I can't do this step or that. This one is too fast, I skip a step to catch up, etc.' When Coach came back, we started with our second set of steps.
After completing the sets, Coach said 'I'd like to see, hmmm...these two dance.' OMG I ALMOST DIED. These two = Me and Riza. Sabi ko 'Sabayan mo kami Sir.' "Yah, sure!" AYIIIIEEEE LANDI. I KNOW. (Funny how Riza and I are both 'healthy' so at first akala ko size showdown. :)) But Riza's a little bigger. Mga parang si Mercedes sa Glee.)
So there, sample chuva lalala. Then Coach said "The reason I picked these two is that they got groove." He points to me saying "I like your groove." OMG CAN YOU FEEL MY HEART FLUTTER? Then he tells everyone 'you know this *does the step* gotta have the groove from the start. Practice grooving everywhere. Like when you hear music, groove to it. I JUST HAD TO SAY THIS ALOUD: 'Sir, kung alam mo lang.' EVERYONE LAUGHED! So tinuloy ko na yung joke... Luto ka na, *grooove*! Laba ka na, *grooove*! Remind me to demonstrate this. haha Glad everyone was laughing. It's nice to attend a class where you're friends with everyone. A lot of jokes were thrown in the session.
We had this side kick step and Coach said 'your kick has to be strong. Think that there's this annoying person beside you that you want to kick hard. I joked 'Sir, sir, dito ka nga (sa tabi ko). OMG everyone laughed but Coach didn't get the joke. He laughed but he probably thought we were laughing coz of his tip.
Anyway we did the set again two more times and then he dismissed the class with the final woohoos and claps for everyone. Coach approached and gave us high fives. I'd like to think Riza and I got special high fives. With Riza's he had this roaring sound effect na super angas. I was the last one who got a high five so we kinda got into a small talk. All I remember is 'I like your groove. The first day you were shy but now you've got it.' Something like that. I'm giddy he remembers me from the first day. *yes, insert giggle here* All I said in reply was 'Thank you!"
He was in a waaaay better mood today and I love it so much. Riza agrees he was 'out of it' last week.
Okay I am talking like a crazy teenager (hahaha feelingera?). This should be entitled 'Chronicles of today's hiphop class.' Because I seriously don't want to forget anything about my eventful morning.
Just so we're clear, yes some* friends and I find our dance teacher hottt. He's married with two kids. 'Nuff said.

Few things
1. A cute guy who can pull off a small talk
2. A kilig gesture from unexpected people or friends (including girls)
3. Cheesy lines that work and you'd wish a guy will one day realize that line is perfect for you
4. Movies
5. And there's those intellectual conversations that you wish you could record and listen to again and again just to remember that you actually spoke those words.

Lunch at C! in Pampanga. photo from Weng
Yes, smart is sexy and I've been craving for intellectual conversations for quite a while now. Thanks to some friends, my long weekend was totally worth it. I miss my other friends as well. I bet we'd had wilder conversations if there were more. But it was good. I love UP friends.

Life's a movie
Right now one of my favorite Sharon movies is on Cinema One- Kung Ako Nalang Sana. I hate to admit it but I kinda feel like I'm a little of Emmy (Sharon). Aside from our size (haha), I really see myself as Emmy some ten years from now. The girl who looks after everyone- family and friends. I hope to be as rich as her character too!
Kulang lang sa akin- guy best friend who, when I reach 40 and single, will be willing to marry me. hahahahahaha Shempre naman I wanna be married before I reach 30 noh. Okay fine 32. May allowance para sure.
Speaking of guy best friend...I guess I really don't have one. I have guy friends but my closest friends are girls. I mean, no one can understand girls like their girlfriends do. The closest I had to a guy best friend was back in high school. Until he fell in love with my friend. hahahaha Until now, sila pa rin so I guess it's meant to be. But it doesn't matter. I love my girl and gay friends! I'm sure one day we'll meet our prince charming through them or maybe we'll meet THE ONE when we're out with our friends. They'll be there when some casanova breaks your heart. Their tears will flow when you make your vows and some of them will be among the hopefuls to catch the bouquet.
Whatever it is, girlfriends will stick with you through thick and thin.
Oh well, I'm just 21. I shouldn't panic yet.
Or okay, I should not panic too much yet.

I feel for you
Was sulking today coz while everyone's scheduled to watch Eclipse, I was stuck at home watching PNoy's inauguration and doing my laundry. That was until I got a text from Farrah. Her boss, whose husband is the brand manager of C2 gave her two premiere tickets for the 9 pm screening at Shang. NALOKA AKO. SHEMPRE YES!!! Before you fear finding spoilers here, let me assure you that there's none. No quotable quotes and 'scene' descriptions. But let me say it was famazing! As in effin amazing! To hell with the Twilight haters but this movie is totally leaps better than the first one. The soundtrack's good too!
And oh, I couldn't help but associate some characters to local showbiz personalities. Please watch out for Victor Wood and Alfie Lorenzo. HAHAHAHA I couldn't breathe as I tried to suppress my laugh when I pointed out Alfie Lorenzo. I SWEAR, I TRIED BUT I LET OUT A SQUEAK. That moment was HILARIOUS!
Like I mentioned in my tweet, tonight I felt like a student again. Like the good old days when Fa and I would catch the last full show of a movie on a school night. When we'd stay late to catch up about life (this part not so much coz we were pressed for time), and then we'd see familiar people at the mall. I remember thinking the people who declare they miss college are just OA. Now I find myself one of them. It's different when all you care about is to be with your friends and pass you classes. When you're done with school, being with friends become a tad more difficult. We all have crazy schedules, our own plans every weekend, or some are too tired they just wanna sleep all weekend. If you're lucky, you'd get to enjoy the company of those who aren't too eager to get a job yet. I did- watched Showtime at the studio with some friends, spent three hours doing karaoke with them. I LOVE IT!
Okay...this is pretty much a sabog post. But that's how I am when I tell a story. :))

Don't you just love college friends?
One of the best things about college especially in schools like UP, Ateneo and La Salle is that you meet friends from all over the country! You get invited to their hometowns in the summer, sembreak or long weekends.
Then when you graduate, some of them will be assigned to different parts of the country or if they're lucky, in another country! Right now I have friends in Bangkok and Singapore. One friend, Ana made my recent Singapore trip possible. I lived with her and her family- and I super enjoyed it.
You may be wondering why Singapore again when I can visit a new place. Well it's because my first visit was super bitin! Plus, there's the annual Great Singapore Sale. Plus, this year another friend is moving to Singapore and promised 'siya ang bahala sa amin' when we come visit! YAY!
I miss college but there are things I'm loving about not being a student. Earning and traveling would be some of them.
