2011 and beyond

Told my mom I'm getting bored. Now, I've reviewed some crazy plans and cooked up new ones that I'd like to do.

1. Take up a class. Never really zeroed in on a single topic. I'm taking dance classes but this time I want it in a room, with notes and class recitations and field trips. (College 2.0?!) Maybe something about our culture, or plants (for work). Ghad I didn't have any idea oranges are colored green when they're not yet ripe for picking until my brother mentioned it. Then again, we do not have Orange trees here so yeah, I think I'm excused.
2. Live somewhere for a year. I first wanted New York. Spent a whole night talking with Raish about taking odd jobs for fun. Like being a waitress or a pet 'baby sitter'. Even selling our eggs for research to finance the NYC life. (They pay really well! hahaha) But now I'm looking at Boracay- where the good things and bad exist harmoniously. I'm thinking it's cheaper to live. It's easier to find a job (I speak Ilonggo, Filipino, and English) so I have a good change right?

3. I've also shifted my dream of building a house in Manila to building a beach front vacation house. Maybe here in the province, or in Batangas. Land prices in Batangas aren't cheap anymore though. Lola's house (where I currently live) is empty anyway so I'm free to stay! haha

4. I'm thinking of volunteering at the tutorial program in our parish. I hope Diane comes with me. I don't wanna go alone! But I'd like to teach. It's the closest I get to being a real teacher.

5. And because I hate ending in even numbers, I need to think of a fifth crazy idea. Oh yeah I remembered one plan I have with my friend Mau. She's like a major football fan and she's dragging me (okay I sort of volunteered) to Bacolod in February for the AFC cup kickoffs against Mongolia. That's IF the game pushes through in Bacolod. It's originally planned to be played in Mongolia but since it's still winter there in February, Azkals offered to host in here.

I'll make 2011 a year of adventures.

So help me God.

WISH KO LANG!

Merry Christmas everyone! Just posting some snippets from Twitter.

Earlier I listed my wishes this Christmas. The photo is too small. Here's what's written.

That we will all love our country a little more so that we can all start building this nation together.

That working friends find the work-life balance we all want.

That friends who are still in school stay inspired and focused so that one day they will finally see the fruits of their hard work.

That those who feel lost will have patience and finally find where they really belong.

That we may all travel and discover things about our destination and ourselves.

That we may all find answers, even if the answer is 'no'.

That everyone's families stay happy and healthy so that we can all make more memories together! :)

And finally (and most especially)… That all my single friends receive the love they deserve at the perfect time.

The responses I got are sooo cute! Here are some of them.

(She's refering to the 6th wish.)

I am seriously hoping that all my wishes come true. :)

Happy birthday Jesus! I hope you're havin' a blast! Thanks for being there even if I'm not the kindest person in the world. You've never turned your back on me and I know you never will. You never tire of listening to my prayers even if they're the same every night. That's why you are amazing. Sending my hug to the heavens! :))

Pat's Awesome SARAP Party

Every year in college, at least since I first attended in third year, Pat would hold a huge party to celebrate his birthday. Incidentally, Pat's birthday would coincide with the last day of school before Christmas break so it's pretty much considered as a year ender too.

First one I attended. Pat's 21st birthday, December 2007
21 shots for 21 years

Me, Emm, Miggy, Vicki, and Jon
Anabee,Edge,Pat, Miggy,Jaz, Lori, Cheska

I think most of us went home sober here. I repeat, MOST.

December 2008

This was by far, THE craziest one. Everyone was drunk, I did this synchronized vomit session with Emm and Cheska by the gutter, lotsa glasses were broken, the place was trashed. People crawled to get to their houses. Some slept in their bathrooms when they got home. As for me, I spent the night on the sofa, with a basin on the floor and a pitcher of water. I was vomiting until the break of dawn (no kidding). This party got us banned from the venue for a year I think.

December 2009- I was in Iloilo already so I've no shots of the party.

And the latest one, December 2010.

Early birds Lianne, Vicki, Jon, Paolo, myself and Jewel
We got to try all the drinks first before the crowd started pouring in.

If you noticed, most of the shots were taken outdoors. That's because Pat's Law school friends were busy dancing inside. Grabe yung energy nila, di kami naka-position sa dance floor. But the (almost) traditional STOP by the Spice Girls got all the ladies dancing. We even got the boys to follow suit. hahaha Such a fun song! Universal anthem of the ladies!

The BA crowd spent the night catching up with each other. It's different when everybody's doing their own thing. We all have stories to tell. But it was so much fun I totally felt like I was back in college. And then sometime that night Pat declared it's gonna be a yearly thing. "It's a way to keep in touch" he says.

Can't wait for 2011!

p.s. Ever since I graduated, I never had alcoholic drinks. This was the next time I had some and it was crazy. I knew the alcohol was kicking in coz I couldn't feel my cheeks. When I got home around 3 AM, I prepared myself for bed- brushed my teeth, washed my face, the works. But three hours later I woke up feeling dizzy. I got up to get myself a glass of water only to vomit it when I reached the bathroom. It's so painful when you are vomiting but nothing comes out. Ugh. And so my tweet goes...
Btw, it wasn't exactly a nap. It didn't even last 5 minutes. But I was trying to vomit and it was so painful, I had to squat on the floor and lean on the wall. My eyes were closed because that was 6 AM! haha And then around 5 in the evening, my allergies started emerging. I had red spots on my arms and legs. It happens whenever I have too much hard drinks. But I didn't mind. I was too happy to see my friends. :)

Life rant

How can the perfect guy exist and not be available for you? INJUSTICE!

Some months ago, some friends and I listed our pegs for the perfect guy for each of us. Today I just added a peg on my list. And he's real. Not some fictional character like Puck or Nate Archibald.

Sobrang pasok siya in every detail. The profession, the character, the 'mukhang mabait' look, even the school. So you can just imagine my silent surprise. UGH, LOVE IT!

Then again, glad we're friends now. Temporarily unavailable lang ang cheeseburger pero isang araw, special delivery pa right at my doorstep.

EXCITING!
