Loser much?

Am I such a loser for saying that the best part of my week is Saturday?

Yesterday I tweeted "I don't have any debt but I feel so poor!"

Now I think I figured out why.

You see, I don't exactly live an office girl lifestyle. My weekdays are usually free of paperwork - unless my boss is here and has stuff that he needs me to do. On a normal, work-free day, I just lounge on the sofa and fiddle with my computer until it's nighttime. In some days I do my laundry. Twice or thrice a week I find myself at the mall. Sometimes to pay the bills and buy groceries, sometimes just to dine out, usually to find something to spend on- which is bad, I know. I find that shopping is a way of killing time for me. It's unproductive, wasteful and clearly, not doing good for my 'career'.

On Saturdays though, I'm sooo alive! Taking that dance class is the best decision I've made as far as my '(non)-active' lifestyle is concerned. I love that I dance with my friends. I love that we can catch up. It feels like college PE class- except we were never classmates in PE back in college. It's even more fun that our instructor is so hot on the dance floor but let's not get into that. But I have to admit, it's part of the motivation.

Saturdays will be even crazier because I've reserved my afternoons to meet up with other friends to discuss stuff I cannot reveal just yet. I'm also looking forward to our next GNOs with themes! First on the list is an all-things-girly sleepover at Edsa Shang! Well, it was supposedly in one of our houses but we all have reasons why we can't host the sleepover so Ja suggested that we book a room at Edsa Shang. YAY! Can't wait!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Hiphop Saturday Session 3! Oh my gosh you guys, today was a blast! But not without misadventures!

I was excited coz Farrah and Jen are back to attend class with me and Cams. I decided to wear my old sneakers because it glides better on the floor. I left home a little past 10 am and rode the bus to Tandang Sora. If you're familiar with the bus, there's two or three steps to take to reach the row of seats. My right foot hit the last step and I felt it...I felt the sole of my shoe come off. Apparently it wasn't just an old pair. It was a very old pair. HAHAHA

So I sat on the nearest empty seat and mentally weighed my options. To hop off, go home and change shoes or pray that Jen is a size 9 and borrow from her. (Her house is located on the street beside the dance studio.) I had to risk it. I texted Jen about my dilemma. Mygosh she's a size 8 but I was desperate so I said pwede na yan! Thank God I packed a pair of slippers with me so I changed into them while on the bus. Imagine if I didn't bring slippers?! Oh Lord, you are amazing.

Just to make sure, I passed by 7-Eleven, bought a ridiculously overpriced super glue (80 pesos!!!) AND WTH IT DIDN'T REPAIR MY SHOE. Sayang yung 80 pesos. After a few minutes Fa picked me up from Jollibee beside 7-Eleven. A little after we got to the studio, Cams was already there. Jen arrived with my emergency shoes. THANK GOD THEY FIT. Literal na fit ha. As in fit na fit a.k.a. MASIKIP. :))

Now the class. There were only six girls. Four of us and then Riza (special mention #1 in session 2) and then a new girl Reg. It was a great class. Less people, more space for each of us and we belong to the same age group so it's pretty easy to get along. Coach started teaching us. At first I still felt the usual pressure I feel but I forced myself to release the tension and just dance the way I dance at home. WALA NANG HIYA HIYA! hahaha

During our waterbreak, Coach left the room so we had a chance to throw in some comments like 'I can't do this step or that. This one is too fast, I skip a step to catch up, etc.' When Coach came back, we started with our second set of steps.

After completing the sets, Coach said 'I'd like to see, hmmm...these two dance.' OMG I ALMOST DIED. These two = Me and Riza. Sabi ko 'Sabayan mo kami Sir.' "Yah, sure!" AYIIIIEEEE LANDI. I KNOW. (Funny how Riza and I are both 'healthy' so at first akala ko size showdown. :)) But Riza's a little bigger. Mga parang si Mercedes sa Glee.)

So there, sample chuva lalala. Then Coach said "The reason I picked these two is that they got groove." He points to me saying "I like your groove." OMG CAN YOU FEEL MY HEART FLUTTER? Then he tells everyone 'you know this *does the step* gotta have the groove from the start. Practice grooving everywhere. Like when you hear music, groove to it. I JUST HAD TO SAY THIS ALOUD: 'Sir, kung alam mo lang.' EVERYONE LAUGHED! So tinuloy ko na yung joke... Luto ka na, *grooove*! Laba ka na, *grooove*! Remind me to demonstrate this. haha Glad everyone was laughing. It's nice to attend a class where you're friends with everyone. A lot of jokes were thrown in the session.

We had this side kick step and Coach said 'your kick has to be strong. Think that there's this annoying person beside you that you want to kick hard. I joked 'Sir, sir, dito ka nga (sa tabi ko). OMG everyone laughed but Coach didn't get the joke. He laughed but he probably thought we were laughing coz of his tip.

Anyway we did the set again two more times and then he dismissed the class with the final woohoos and claps for everyone. Coach approached and gave us high fives. I'd like to think Riza and I got special high fives. With Riza's he had this roaring sound effect na super angas. I was the last one who got a high five so we kinda got into a small talk. All I remember is 'I like your groove. The first day you were shy but now you've got it.' Something like that. I'm giddy he remembers me from the first day. *yes, insert giggle here* All I said in reply was 'Thank you!"

He was in a waaaay better mood today and I love it so much. Riza agrees he was 'out of it' last week.

Okay I am talking like a crazy teenager (hahaha feelingera?). This should be entitled 'Chronicles of today's hiphop class.' Because I seriously don't want to forget anything about my eventful morning.

Just so we're clear, yes some* friends and I find our dance teacher hottt. He's married with two kids. 'Nuff said.

*(some = excluding Fa)

I love my boss!

Today my dad and I went to the printing office to work on some product labels. Amazing how these graphic artists do magic on the computer. I originally planned to be dropped off at the mall before dad drives to the printing office but he said I should tag along since we're having dinner at the mall anyway. Of course, I tagged along, unwillingly. haha It was all good though. My inputs were executed on the labels so my ears are flapping in delight. Not much of an achievement compared to others but at least my mall time turned label making was productive.

A little past three, I was sleepy and hungry. Glad we were wrapping up. Dad and I drove to Trinoma, paid some bills, checked some stores and eventually he gave up walking around and we had coffee. I asked permission to leave for a quick window shopping. Twenty minutes later he was not in the coffee shop and I called him and found him sitting at the food court. You know dads. They may seem stern but they know their kids. My dad knows his daughter.

I was fidgety sitting in front of him and then he said 'Puntahan mo na yung gusto mong puntahan. Text mo nalang ako kung nasaan ka mamaya.' UGH. I LOVE MY DAD. So I left and found myself in my favorite stores but ended up buying a shirt from Gap. After that purchase, I stashed the paper bag in my tote to meet up with dad for dinner.

When I sat at the table, the first thing he asked was 'Oh, wala kang nabili?' hahahaha I hesitantly answered 'Meroooon.' I was kinda shy to let my dad know I spent money again today. Not because he's against it. He never was. It's just funny that he's concerned if I spent my shopping time wisely.

On our way home, we talked about cars and motors and traffic. He gives me tips about driving (as if I drive!) haha Like I should be careful of cars without break lights But I've been thinking a lot lately. Maybe I should start practicing driving so I can drive my folks around. And my brother too (up until he learns how to drive) coz he's going to college next year. Much like Fa who sometimes takes Ernan to school or pick him up in whichever mall. And Raish who drives herself and Mico to school until Mico learned to drive. Sooo cute. I hope my brother is enthusiastic too.

Anyway, I'm deviating from my topic. I just wanna say I loved today! Plus it was Glee's premiere! Charice was soooo good but it seems like the botox didn't work. haha Hope the eps get better and the botox eventually shows its effects!

Can't tweet this

HOW IS IT THAT I'M FRUSTRATED FOR SUCKING AT DANCE CLASS? IT'S JUST A FRIGGIN DANCE CLASS! PUCHA.

No pressure kind of pressure

Today is hiphop Saturday! Was actually anxious to go back to class because Jen pulled off a really good joke on (Coach) Prince and I need to break the truth. Of course that didn't happen because Prince never really engages in small talks with us so FML#1.

The steps are harder now! As in WTH why can't I follow? Eventually I was able to keep up but it was more of trying not to embarrass myself. And the room was quite packed, I couldn't move freely coz we'd end up too close to each other. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

Two of our classmates got special mention for really 'grooving'. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I'VE ALWAYS THOUGHT I'M NOT A BAD DANCER BUT TODAY, I'M BEGINNING TO DOUBT THAT. FML#2 :)) For some reason, I couldn't groove without looking like a trunk (was gonna say 'stick' but we all know why it doesn't fit).

And my goodness we have teenagers as classmates. Feeling ko talaga, if we were all in the same age group, gora na sa giling-giling noh! I can imagine a class full of ASAP jokes and banats and I just can't do that in this class. I feel that if we're all 'friends', we can groove without having to think that someone will laugh at us.

Prince probably saw our frustration OR worse, he was frustrated with how we moved. He kept telling us to "relax, don't get pressured, just have fun." But many times he made us repeat that 'getting the groove' move. That's obviously a sign of 'why are they not getting it?!' in a mentor-ly fashion. You know what's crazier? He had this pep talk about grooving before he dismissed us. Did we really suck that bad?

Needless to say I went home frustrated. Thank goodness Cams was there in class. Jen and Fa couldn't make it. If I was 'alone', I bet it'd be even moooore frustrated.

Oh well. Maybe next week it'll be better. I'll make friends na nga with our 'special mentioned' classmates! I could sure learn a thing or two. haha Btw, one of them said 'Hindi naman siguro ikaw yung na-injure dahil sa Steve Martin in heels?' Wow. Ang galing ng acting ni Jen. SIKAT NA AKO. hahaha Well, I told them it was a joke but I would have preferred it was Prince who asked. I guess the joke's on me? FML #3.

Today

Today was better.

Maybe because it's Friday tomorrow. I have plans with my GNO (Girls Night Out) group to watch Jon Santos' 101 Jonjemons show at Teatrino. I'm excited! I've always wanted to watch him. He is one of the finest, smartest actor/comedians in the country- along with Eugene Domingo and Malou de Guzman. All three are from UP by the way so that makes me extra proud! My aunt (mom's sister) who's now a doctor was classmates with Jon Santos back in Diliman. He even came to this house according to mom. Dunno though which subject/s they were classmates in. My aunt was also classmates with Jessica Soho. Makes me wonder, 10 or 20 years from now, who among my classmates will be the big names in their fields that I'll end up bragging about? haha!

Jon Santos
My favorite (even before she had her own movies), Ms. Eugene Domingo
Malou de Guzman
*all photos from Google

Earlier Dad and I went out for dinner. You see outside our village, we have Puregold which houses Mang Inasal and Jollibee. If you cross the street there's Mercury Drug, Andoks, Baliwag, KFC, Lydia's Lechon, Pan de Manila and other restaurants so you'll never go hungry even if you're lazy to cook. Anyway, we parked at Puregold and crossed the street to get to Mercury coz he had to buy his meds for asthma. Sooo funny, my dad and I were playing 'patintero' with so much cars, jeeps and buses. I'm used to it coz I commute around but Dad does not commute so it was a tense moment for him. It was really fun. Don't get me wrong. Of course it was dangerous! Drivers here generally do not give way to pedestrians. But it was fun because I was with dad and he kept saying 'ayan dali dali dali!'

I also told Dad about my schedule for Friday and Saturday. Some friends tell me I'm too old to be asking permission from my folks. I know I'm of legal age. But it's not like I have to ask permission. It's a gesture I voluntarily do because they're my parents, they worry about me and it's not like they're not gonna allow me. I just feel it's better that parents know our whereabouts rather than keeping it from them and they end up sneaking into your phone or computer or nagging you about your plans.

I better stop now because I find my writing incoherent. :)) Here's to an amazing weekend!

CWC yet again

I already mention the hot wakeboarders I saw at CWC but never really mentioned anything else so here goes!

So sorry I didn't take food shots because 1) I forget too often! 2) I end up taking a bite before remembering to take a shot. Meaning, the plating has been destroyed=not photogenic. 3) I'm shy to take photos of the food my bosses ordered. Next time nalang when I'm with friends! At least I can stop them from taking a bite until I get a good shot.

Cabanas. Behind are the container vans. All the accommodations except The Mansion are walking distance from the cable park.

First, the room. There are different types of accomodations at CWC. The famous container van, the log cabin, the cabanas and the hotel rooms at the mansion which is far from the cable park. We booked five cabanas for everyone in the trip. It's small, but good enough. It's supposed to be a place to sleep and bathe in, not to hang out because you'll probably spend most of the day outside the room. Airconditioning is good (as in I wear a jacket to sleep and still feel cold!), and the bathroom is clean. We didn't have soap though. You know, the tiny- almost half a centimeter thick freebie that you expect in decent accommodations. We later found out they actually provide soap. Probably the attendant forgot to leave one in our room. Anyway it wasn't much of an issue coz I bring my own soap whenever I travel. The bathroom had heat-adjustable faucets and showers by the way. The only confusing part is that the faucet had a hot-cold heater (pulled to the left and water flows hot, pulled to the right and water flows cold) but the shower had an opposite direction! I freaked out a bit coz the shower was too hot- as in pwede ka mag-kape! I managed to fix it after a few seconds. I'm not sure if its the same in other cabanas.

The attendants. Oh my gosh, where do I begin. I LOVE THEM! For some reason, they're genuinely niiice! Unlike other tourist places who are nicer to foreigners and just nice to locals. They greet everyone good morning. They engage you in small talks. Offer really good service. There's this gay room attendant who greeted me good morning when I was about to leave our cabana to have breakfast. He reminded me so much of Emm! He was mahinhin pero kikay. As in he had eyeliner and lip balm on. Sooo landi! hahaha

"Good morning m'aam!"
Hi!
"Papalinis kayo ng room ma'am?"
Uhhh, sige. Ngayon na ba?
"Okay po-uh. Mamaya maya na po-uh." (The "po-uh" is like po but with that flair or twang in the end. Sooo bading in a good way!)

Then at the Mansion where we had a meeting, the waiters (we had our lunch served in the conference room) were just so polite, quick, efficient and exceptionally nice. Uh, I'm so impressed! It's like they're all so happy to be working there. Sometime that day, there was no water in the bathroom of our conference room and attendants came immediately.

The waiters at the clubhouse were nice too. Although they're slightly forgetful (took us at least three times before our water came), they were very patient and polite.

The Clubhouse.

Their wakeboard-shaped menu. Cute detail!

The service. I mentioned the good people already. Now their service. At the clubhouse, it's a pretty decent waiting time. Ten minutes was the longest I waited, I think. The best service was the room cleaning. THEY FOLDED MY CLOTHES! hahahaha That morning I laid my clothes flat on the bed to remove some creasing due to folding in my bag. There were only two hangers so I couldn't hang all my clothes. When I got back, even my used jacket was folded in style! I was sooo amazed I had to take a picture. Day two of cleaning, it was my dad who left his bed cluttered. When we got back, his stuff were piled neatly! Crazy! Even our phone chargers were rolled and placed on top of the bedside table. I never even do that to my chargers at home. Usually I don't like strangers touching my stuff because I might lose something but I noticed the attendants only fix stuff on your bed. Our cabinet was still the same cluttered space when we got back so that's really nice.
My neatly folded clothes.

All in all, it was a great experience at CWC. It would have been better if I tried wakeboarding but I promise I will when I visit with friends.

BLAH

Did you ever feel sad but didn't know why? Like suddenly you realize you never smiled at any point of the day?

I've been feeling that way since yesterday and I really hope it ends soon. To me, a day without a smile or a good laugh is a wasted day and I hate wasting my day. People close to me would know how much I loooove laughing or smiling.

So can someone or something please make me smile before the day ends? Because I'd really like to make this day count.

Oh, for the sake of having a photo in this post, here's my shot of Mt. Isarog. Taken from the clubhouse of CWC, Pili, Camarines Sur.

HERE'S TO HAPPIER DAYS!

CWC, Steve Martin and UP

Last night we just got back home at 11 pm from CWC. Too bad I didn't get to try wakeboarding. First, our schedule was packed with meetings and account visits. Two, I was with bosses old enough to be my parents and aunts so no one was as enthusiastic to try the sport. Three, the experienced ones were sooo good you wouldn't want to try it without another newbie in tow. I plan to drag my friends there though so sama sama na ang mga first timers!

I did however, witness great wakeboard skills from two hot guys. I love them! I was standing with one of my bosses near where guy1 was sitting. I was taking photos of his friend (guy2) while he was wakeboarding.
Guy 2

When he skipped the ramp I said to my boss "Sayang di siya nag ramp."
Guy 1 stood up and wore his high-end wakeboard gear and hopped to the platform. Sooo hottt. AND THEN GUESS WHAT, HE USED THE RAMP! Ugh. Methinks he heard my frustration on not seeing anyone use the ramp. I love you, dear stranger for that.

His gear. Took this photo while he was resting 2 feet away from where I'm standing. Kapal ko! :))
Likod palang, hottt na. Sorry no close up! Was shy! :)

(I hate my photos. I'm never quick enough to get a great moving shot. ugh. Thus I'm allotting my Christmas bonus to get myself a new digicam. hihi Maybe I'll loan my SLR to my brother.)

On our way back to Manila, I got a text from Jen saying Coach Prince believed I actually sprained my ankle from doing the Steve Martin step in heels! HAHAHA I can't wait to attend the next class! I have no idea how to tell him it was a joke. Speaking of our dance class, I'm so happy I found a video that's soooo similar to our first lesson. It's the same dance except for one step! So just imagine Fa, Jen and I doing this. :))

Steve Martin step on 0:29 onwards. (Imagine doing that in heels.)

And last but definitely the best... CONGRATULATIONS TO THE UP PEP SQUAD!!! The best routine evaaaar. Flawless! High-energy! Amazing. And I had the funnest time doing a pseudo tweet conference with my friends while we were in our homes watching the competition on TV!

UP Pep girls aren't the slimmest among the UAAP teams but watching their routine, they look like the lightest ones!

On eating alone

Yesterday I had lunch at CPK and ordered my ultimate favorite Thai Crunch Salad. I walked in and the waitress asked 'Table for how many, ma'am?' I said one. It was already 1 pm, a little late for lunch but there were three other couches occupied. The one I sat nearest to was a couple, the two couches on the opposite side were a family and two ladies.

So there I was in the couch, conveniently seated facing their overhead plasma TV and open kitchen, waiting for my Thai crunch salad.

I personally don't mind eating alone. I have a friend who'd rather starve than eat alone. Me? I eat if I have to and when I want to. Aside from the physical evidence of my eating principle (haha), eating alone was never an issue to me because I have reasons to enjoy eating alone.

1. I can revel in the silence and focus on the food.
2. No need for small talks to keep conversations afloat.
3. I can take time watching the dynamics of the restaurant or the people eating
4. There are a lot of things I can observe when I eat alone. Like the details of the restaurant design (CPK's walls have framed pizza boxes), or how overpriced my meal is (but you'll pay just the same because you cannot replicate it at home).
5. When I'm alone and without distraction (like Internet or TV), I get to reevaluate my life, my goals, dreams, plans and random thoughts that pop into your head while observing people.

So yeah, I don't mind eating alone.

I just don't want to eat alone forever.

You've Got Swagger

Oh yeah, uh, uh, oh yeah!

Yesterday Fa, Jen and I attended a trial session of basic hiphop at Brewing Point. I kinda expected it'll be another adventure for me- as in I got lost and the trike driver didn't know where Tierra Pura is! MONEY HUNGRY BASTARD! So instead of taking another trike from where I got off, I decided to walk so I can ask people where I'm supposed to go.

I made it after waaaaaaaalking. Yes, it was a long walk. When I got to Gate 1 of Tierra Pura, I talked to the guard.

'Kuya sa Brewing Point po ako, saan yun?'
Ah Brewing Point. Lakad ka lang ng lakad hanggang makita mo.

HAHAHA NAMATAY AKO. In fairness tama si Kuya. Lakad ka talaga ng lakad. As in I reached Gate 2! I got there just a few minutes before the class started. Our classmates were kids! Well, teens- as in 13-14 ish. And they were better than us! HAHAHA WILD. It's all good though. Our instructor was so chill, (and cute!) and he's got this hiphop accent which suits him so well. Think Rafael Rosell (accent and looks) but definitely Rafael is hotter.

Early in the class we did stretching. Like the longest stretching session I've had. In my mind I wanted to joke 'basic hiphop ba toh or basic stretching?' but since we were newbies, I didn't coz I have no idea how our teacher is like- if he's strict or he welcomes jokes naman.

When we finally started dancing, we were already relaxed. But sometimes when I miss a count, I curse in a soft voice. But the choice of curse was the F word and the kid nearest to Jen and I would look every time I say the F word. Kawawa naman, baka innocent pa so I switched to sh*t thinking siguro naman yung S word alam na nila. Yung F word mejo wild na for their age. Then a little later, the S word was just a mumbling of sounds whenever I made a mistake. "Grrr!" "Aaaagh!"

Prince would tell us form time to time 'relax, just enjoy'. Feeling ko natatamaan ako! hahaha I'm enjoying but of course you'd want to enjoy and do it right at the same time diba? After completing the set he had the girls and the boys alternately do the set. Feeling ASAP XV kami nila Fa. hahaha He also picked students to do the set. Among us, Farrah was picked along with the kids and the girl who was also a newbie.

Super fun! The studio was airconditioned. Akala mo hindi ka pagpapawisan pero wild ha? I'm kinda sad I won't be here in Manila next Saturday for hiphop classes. I'll be in CWC in Naga for a major company meeting so we made up this funny alibi as to why I won't be in class next week.

"Sir, nag-Steve Martin in heels kaya napilayan. Next week nalang daw aattend." HAHAHAHAHAHA HILARIOUS! ( I tried to look for a video to illustrate what steve martin is but I couldn't find one. Anyway, just imagine your body facing the left side. Lift your leg alternately as if marching in place but you have to twist your body to the opposite direction on the fourth count, with only one leg supporting your whole body.)

I found this video though. It's one of Coach Prince's classes in the south. Our class goes pretty much like this. But our studio is nicer! teehee! :)

The thing I hate about not having a digicam is not being able to document everyday happenings in your life- like meeting up with friends, seeing random people or celebrities, or attending fun dance classes. Using the SLR is just too much for everyday stuff.

P.S.
Prince is part of the Philippine All Stars. He's married to an All Star member too. Cute!

MY CHRISTMAS LIST!

It's been a tradition for me to write a wish list for two reasons. First, to keep track of the things I want/need at this moment and second, to help my friends or relatives decide in case they're planning to give me a gift. HAHA

But seriously, wala lang talaga. I just wanna gauge if my wishes are improving over the years. I haven't really thought about doing comparisons though. Maybe in a few more years. Anyway, here goes!

My material wish list:

1. SPECK see through satin for my mac (in red please)2. Aquazorb body towel
3. Gift certificates from Ayala, Rustan's, Healthy Options and SM!
4. Suelas Punterea flats in gray, size 8.5
5. Nice journals/ doodle notebook (no lines) –It doesn’t have to be a Moleskin coz their price is ridiculous.
6. Metallic gel pens to write on the journals
7. DVDs of iWitness documentaries (They’re at Powerbooks!)
8. Happy hoodie in panda or bee design (call Oliver or Trixie!)
9. Sebago shoes (navy-white, red-white or light gold), size 9
10. Archie Comics. I miss reading them. I used to rent from this small bookstore downtown or swap with my classmates in grade school.
11. Cute fabric covered file holders from fabmanila or at Heima.
12. Unique watches (i.e. Normal watch brand or lego)
13. Kerastase Bain Satin shampoo or masque
14. Victoria's Secret Shea butter soft embrace mist
15. Samsonite or Delsey lightweight luggage
16. Sony Cybershot TX9 or iPod touch
18. Prada bag (Tim Humangit, bilhan mo ako please! It’s half the price of THAT BAG. Hahahaha hello Emm!)
19. Sunglasses (with square-ish lenses). (David Yurman, Rayban or Oakley)
20. Coffee table books about beautiful houses, different countries, or the Philippines

(Photo searched on Google)
My intangible wish list:

1. That the Philippines can recover from the heartbreaking (and stupid) hostage issue.
2. That P-Noy will finally step up and spearhead major major changes for this country.
3. That Filipinos will love this country and do pure and honest work for its development. (That we will be Filipinos more than just on paper.)
4. That corrupt people can just fade from the face of the earth so that the good will reign.
5. That we will all live better lives.
6. Good health for the people that I love and those who love me.
7. More memories with my family and friends.
8. That I maintain ties with my friends and start meeting new ones.
9. That I can contribute to this country in a significant way (which I have yet to figure out).
10. Finally, for the right one at the right time.

I'M EXCITED TO START SHOPPING FOR GIFTS! I've already started actually but I'm far from completing it because, like every year, I find it difficult to think of a gift for the boys aka my dad and kuya. Joop is easy to please. I already know what he wants this Christmas. Ever since I can remember, I'm the only person who gives gifts in the family. Mom and Dad gives each of us cash, my kuya never gives anything (hahaha!) and my brother Joop never tries. I had to pressure him to buy me my Belle de Jour once. Tapos 500 lang daw babayaran niya, ako na bahala sa kulang. HAHAHA KAMOTE. So I have no plans to stop giving gifts. Boring pag walang namimigay ng regalo.

I leave you with the very nice 2009 Christmas song from ABS-CBN.

Few things

There are a few things that make me kilig

1. A cute guy who can pull off a small talk
2. A kilig gesture from unexpected people or friends (including girls)
3. Cheesy lines that work and you'd wish a guy will one day realize that line is perfect for you
4. Movies
5. And there's those intellectual conversations that you wish you could record and listen to again and again just to remember that you actually spoke those words.

Lunch at C! in Pampanga. photo from Weng

Yes, smart is sexy and I've been craving for intellectual conversations for quite a while now. Thanks to some friends, my long weekend was totally worth it. I miss my other friends as well. I bet we'd had wilder conversations if there were more. But it was good. I love UP friends.
