You know you love me

OKAAAAY GOSSIP GIRL IS SOOO NEAR. Season 2 starts September 1 in the States, so we are all gonna witness it September 2. OMG. At least there's something that can keep me distracted until January 8. hahaha

I have seen the photos of the rumored LOCAL VERSION OF GOSSIP GIRL brought to us by ABS-CBN. I don't really buy it. haha I'd much rather want Carla Humphries as Blair. Wala lang, top of mind choice ko lang. haha

CAMERA CAFE. Have you ever seen this show in GMA? It is soooo funny, I love it! I have learned it started in France in September 11, 2001 (yup, same day as the WTC bombing). Anyway, here's an episode.

Here's another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1qniuUPQpw&feature=related

There's more on youtube. haha

Break

Two days ago I almost killed my father's car by trying to drive it with the hand brake on. I REALIZED THAT HOURS AFTER I STRUGGLED PUTTING THE CAR BACK INTO THE GARAGE. After telling Raisia and Farrah (on separate occasions) about what I did, they both 'scolded' me on forgetting the hand break. 'MASISIRA KOTSE MO!' hahahaha sorry naman.

So to make up for my boo-boo, I worked on the car again today. HAHAHA I have finally proven to myself that I did not forget my skill in driving. I still know. And from this day onwards, I will never forget to release the hand brake again. ;)

Enough about that. I decided to explore the website I learned from Claude. Here are some of the cool stuff I found. Some things I'd want to have in my dream house.

This one will be a separate area from the house. It's what I call the gimmick room where my friends (and my future children's barkada, haha) can hang out to chill.

And this one will be the modern library. I haven't really decided if I want a modern or 'scholarly' library. But this one reminds me of Edward's room. HAHAHA That must be why I like this.

I am so excited for the future. But I am enjoying the little time I have left in college. I hate feasib but pretty soon we have to get started. Just the mere thought of it tires me. But this is inevitable. FEASIB IS LIKE THE RESULT OF FOUR YEARS IN SPONGE-LIKE ABSORPTION OF KNOWLEDGE.

On other things, last night we went to the mega practice of the batch for BACBACAN. It was sooo fun in school! Everyone is so eager to be part of the event, the BACBACAN spirit is sooo evident in each one in the college. At DAR, those with no sports (read as: 'kami', haha) were left to be spotters, jokers and 'pagpa-practice-an' ng players. hahaha I totally enjoyed the 'JOKE TIME' of the group. We call ourselves "The Extras". Mind you, nakakapagod maging all-around extra. hahaha Midway I had a craving for Coke so Raisia gladly accompanied me to find one. We ended up walking to Philcoa Mercury Drug. Nakakatakot maglakad dun, exaaage. It was rewarding nonetheless. The smiles of the batchmates when we offered them a cup of coke was enough to make me happy. hehehe

Tomorrow is the final ultimate practice of the batch. FOR THE WIN SENIORS!!! RED between the lines.

Another Goodbye Song

Finally found a clip of the senti song I love. They didn't sing it exceptionally well here but more or less it gives you an idea of the song. (And for those of you who know me well, you'll know why I like it.)

Another Goodbye Song- Composed by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab

Tsk tsk

I was craving for crepes after I finished my grocery today. I headed to French Baker and ordered their Ham and Cheese crepe. The lady at the counter asked me to wait. "Ma'am, ask ko lang po kung available." After a few minutes she came back and punched my order on the register and reminded me that serving time will be 15 minutes. HELL NO. IT WAS THE LONGEST 15 MINUTES I HAD TO WAIT. The mother and daughter tandem who was behind me in the line has already finished eating their pasta while I wait for my crepe. Since French Baker's kitchen is visible, I saw what was happening. The manager, the two cooks and the lady in the cash register were all huddled around the crepe plate. The manager was doing it, while the two guys (cooks) hovered to learn how it's done. I BET WALANG UMOORDER NG CREPE SA SM FAIRVIEW. AYAN TULOY, FIRST TIME NILA.

After 30 minutes, my crepe arrived and it was nothing like the one on the menu. SALTY crepe with confectioner's sugar and cinnamon? WTF! Plus! Drizzled with cheese spread and dried herbs? I began eating anyway and somewhere in my mind, I asked 'asan yung ham?' Lo and behold the ham was rolled in the middle of the big crepe. Hay naku basta ako nainis talaga. Not worth my 105 bucks. nakakaloka. Maybe sa ibang branches it's much better. NEXT TIME WAG NIYONG GAWIN EXPERIMENT PAGKAIN KO.

p.s.
In the menu, the crepe is supposed to be square, with cuts of ham and grated cheese drizzled in the middle. No cinnamon, no confectioner's sugar, no cheese spread.

My weekend sked

Last night I bought my Dulce de Leche from Red Ribbon. YEY! I also spent the rest of the night finishing Eclipse. That's part of my new self imposed rule- No school related activity on a Friday night unless it's super urgent. Anyhooo, I am so happy to have finished all three books in a month. I am so excited to read Breaking Dawn. Powerbooks in Greenbelt is holding a pre-launch party for Breaking Dawn. EXAGE.

I slept the whole morning today like I always do on weekends. It feels so good to wake up just when you feel like waking up. I was productive too. Was able to do my laundry, (sort of) fix my room, and do some HR work for ABAM. Hayay, so much to do.

Tomorrow I shall study Global Marketing, retype notes, fix org documents, and watch TV. Ugh, which reminds me we still have a case for Global Marketing. Plus the logo and tagline for our new category in 172- the Walis category. This one I'm so excited to report on. HAHA I also can't wait for our group to report in 177 (Brand Management). I am really proud of our teamwork. We really try to get to know the brand to a point that we incorporate it in our daily lives. We're working kasi on Head and Shoulders. So as the Brand team for H&S, we really use it, interview people about it and go to the supermarket to observe the buying behavior of people toward the brand and its competitors.

I am currently still crazy about Twilight. I cannot wait for (ugh) January 8 for the premier. I still hate it though- that the whole world will see it on December 12 and we Filipinos will have to wait for another month before we can see it. Tapos hello, paasa pa. I read on the internet that the Twilight trailer will be shown for the Dark Knight movie. WALA KAYA! But howell papel, it's on YouTube naman so what the hell.

Yearbook write-up submission will be until September 19. I decided Fa and Dianne to co-write for me. And I won't edit it. (I am part of the Literary team which means we're editing write-ups. I'll have mine edited by Raish or Dianne.) Which means I'll be able to read it only after it has been published already.

Aaand! Today I discovered the blog of Raisia's cousin. Reading her blog reminds me of myself and my blogging style. THE CATCH? She's just eleven. Darn.

Intense (Poverty)

Just got home so here's a recap.

JFA's SINGING BEE. OMG I'm like the Singing Bee defending champion! woooooot! HAHAHAHA I always thought it's meant to bee. hahaha

DARK NIGHT. It was intense. There were some parts I'd love to see again. But my favorites were the bat cave, the bat mobile, and the motorcycle. YAY! Sayang yung peraaaa :((

SHOPPING. I finally bought the shoes I spotted two weeks ago. It cost me a whole week of allowance so I won't be spending so much until the month ends. (Because I have nothing to spend anymore hahaha) I decided to go with the ones with heels since I have a gazillion (exage) flats. It's been a while since I last bought shoes so I guess I deserve these. Yey!

I want the Dulce de Leche cake from Red Ribbon. Ultimate cheap thrill dessert. I'm getting one this weekend- if I have money to spare.

Cheers to little (and not so little) rewards!

Anti-Fuzz solution

Where can I get an anti-fuzz solution? Because THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

People think I'm kidding when I tell them about it. I know sometimes it's suntok sa buwan. Good thing there's one person who can understand.

For now, this cannot go out of hand.

Teacher for a day

I AM SO BACK FROM MY ABS-CBN STUDIO TOUR. waaaaait...RECAP NA NGA.with Senator Bong Revilla

1. Studios Tour, THE BUZZ and Dencio's after. yey yey yey! Photos here. Wathcing Buzz live is so boring. ugh. But I like the tour. hehe

2. Sleepover at Weng's. for 177 and 172. Yummy cupcakes, bottomless iced tea, healthy and yummy Nestle breakfast.

After the sleep over, we went back to UP. Fa had AdCore duties, me- ABAM and Weng had Rhett. Caloi met me at BA so I can ride with him to Balara High School for our UPCAT Tutorials. However, we had to get some food first so I forced him to accept my offer to drive his car. (MANUAL PO YUN.) Farrah watched, and as usual, the engine died on me. It happens every time someone intently watches me. hahahaha Anyhooo, the drive was smooth. YEY YEY!

I thought all I'd do there was to sit and chat with the ABAM-ers or read Eclipse. However, Chloe had to leave early so there was a slot for the science teaching. Ten minutes before the actual teaching, I volunteered to do the discussion. I enjoyed every minute of it. The students paid attention and listened. They were all participative and eager to learn. It's rewarding to see them correct their papers, or ask when they cannot understand and it feels so good to be able to impart knowledge to them. I also feel I did a good job in teaching them because of Dianne and Tim's feedback. Yehey!

When Javie took over, I joined the others in one corner and told them a little history. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher. hehehe So i guess that's why I enjoyed my teaching stint. Just the 'aaaaahs' of the kids were enough to make me feel good even if my cough got in the way in the middle of my segment. Feeling ko they really looked up to me- to us.

We also had the chance to talk to some of them. We even met Sir Capistrano's second cousin. Hehe I really hope at least two from that class pass the UPCAT. Because life in UP is something not everyone get to experience. And I'd be the happiest person if I could contribute in shaping a kid's future.

Cheers to all the teachers! You're the best!

Stress list

Okay, I have a feeling my cough is coming back. Not that it went away, but it's going back to how serious it was when it started. My back aches when I cough. It's been weeks. :( I'm tired. I've never reached REM sleep for like forever (REM means rapid eye movement, REM sleep is the deepest level of sleep). I cry sometimes, in the middle of the night when I abruptly wake up to cough. I miss dreaming or simply curling up to extend the sweet slumber even for a few more minutes.

My medications have been extended to 5 more days but that does not include my antibiotics- only anti-asthma meds and decongestants.

Anyway, I am almost done with New Moon, the second in Stephanie Meyer's series. I would like to thank my generous sponsors- Vincent for Twilight, Miggy for New Moon, and Rara for Eclipse. I am happy with borrowing the books for now since I have no time to scour the Metro for stray copies. HAHAHA I might get my own copy once I've received my fresh allowance for August (just in time for the fourth book- Breaking Dawn!). Or maybe after I purchase the pair of lovely lovely shoes that's been sort of haunting me already. HAHA

RECENT HAPPENINGS

1. Yabang Pinoy Launch in BA. It was so fun! YP volunteers joined us- Maricis Sarino, Patrick Joson and Mica Ferer to name a few. I am so happy about this project because it's really Fa and I who started wearing the abaca band in BA. I decided to share it to ABAM and poof! In a few months time we are actually preparing a series of events for the whole UP community. WEEEEE! SOBRANG EXCITED NA AKO!

2. MAMA MIA MOVIE. Fa and I headed to Eastwood to watch the last full show of Mama Mia on Tuesday night. We had so much fun!!! FA and I were dancing and bouncing on our seats. Kara, my super friend since first year college, also arrived with her dorm friends. They happen to be seated beside us so we had the chance to HUG AND JUMP INSIDE THE CINEMA, WITH THE LIGHTS OFF, before the movie started. hahaha YEY! After the movie, Fa and I had crazy ideas and we tried to simulate a musical-conversation day pa. hahaha

3. Guilder Write Up launch. I'm part of our yearbook committee and I am excited to work on it. Yey!

4. JFA transitionals orientation. JFA has the funniest and most original games. Brainstorming for the games burn Mark's calories. HAHAHA I'm looking forward to our Singing Bee game next week. Weeeee! I am a contestant, of course!

Of course, MY STRESS LIST. In order of urgency.

1. 175 paper. Just finished a few minutes ago. Ugh, Poland.
2. 173 print ad shoot. NO CONCEPT YET.
3. 177 Brand Framework.
4. THE BUZZ and ABS-CBN studio tour. I AM EXCITED FOR THIS ONE! WOOOOHOOOO!
5. 172 Category Branding.
6. 190 Activity 2- mission and vision critique.
7. Canon Event- I'm handling this with Jay-Ar. It will be on August. And it's the first UP-wide event I'm heading. Last time I staffed lang for Chalk campus tour.
8. FEASIB FEASIB FEASIB. tae.
9. Cash for shoes. please. :D
10. Midterms?

OKAY. MUST GET WELL SOON. Or I'm doomed.

Ooooh! Super looking forward to Don-slash-Sir Jet's libre on Sunday after The Buzz!

Maybe late but not quite

For the past weeks I have never really understood the gushing and raving of my friends about this certain Edward. Eventually I decided to give myself the chance to get to know him. I borrowed Twilight from Vincent. I read the book in two afternoons only! Yes, afternoons because I wake up at 12 noon already. haha

I wasn't even halfway (somewhere in page 180++) and I'm already getting fuzzy inside. Until I reached the super kilig parts, damn I couldn't let go of the book. It's 4 in the morning and I felt like reading it pa rin. But I eventually stopped, thought I needed rest because I'm still sick. And of course, I need to save some kilig moments for the next day.

Sunday noon I ate my oatmeal (my taste buds aren't in the best condition yet so might as well eat something not so tasty) and then bathed. After that I already continued reading. I felt sad to pause since I had to hear mass. During mass I couldn't wait to leave and get back to the book. (Sorry Papa God.) I couldn't take Edward off my thoughts.

And now that I've finished Twilight I am gushing at the level that my friends gushed, just a few weeks ago.

Now I want my own Edward. It's true, what Dianne said about male standards getting quite high after reading the book. Yes, I'd rather have a vampire for a boyfriend than a man who's not half the person Edward is. This Edward is amazing he dazzles me.

"You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to me ever."

"If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I'm not ashamed of it."

"Look, I love you more than anything else in the world combined. Isn't that enough?" "Yes, it is enough, Enough for forever."

Someone who won't leave when you ask him to stay. Someone who comes before you know you're in trouble. Someone who'd risk himself just to be with you. Someone who's mere existence makes you wobbly. Someone who never fails to take your breath away- literally. I die every time I read these stuff. Now I'll be watching for these symptoms. Maybe then, I have just faced the vampire meant for me.

Suddenly emo

Today I went home right after class so I could really rest. I'm still not better. Just this morning I started taking my new medicines. I am now on antibiotics and anti-asthma meds. My doctor must have given me anti-asthma since my cough is really bad. Anyway, I decided to ban school stuff for today- just good ol' TV and rest and siesta. yey! Here's what I got.

Kilig number 1: I got home and was able to catch Romantic Princess on TV. HAHAHA I really enjoy this story. It's light and cute. But not so realistic, at least in a Filipino setting. Ralph (Calvin Chen) said 'Sampung taon? Possible bang mahalin ka ng babae sa loob ng sampung taon? Nakakatuwa naman isipin.' Because there's this girl who got into a deal with their rich grandfather. She was to pretend she's marrying Jin (Wu Chun) so that he will be pressured to admit that he loves Jannah. Turns out, this fake fiancée loves Ralph, not Jin. So when she finally admits her true feelings, Jin whispered to Ralph 'Pinaghandaan ka niya ng sampung taon.'

Kilig number 2: LOBO ending. I'm not a big fan of this teleserye but I have a thing for endings. I find it interesting to watch endings even of those teleseryes I don't religiously follow. Noah (Piolo) was super wounded he was gonna die. Lyka (Angel) was shot also because she begged to die since Noah was gonna die. Noah's last words were 'Hindi man sa lupa, sa langit. Hindi man ngayon, sa susunod kong buhay.' And Angel said 'Ikaw at ikaw pa rin.' And hello, hindi sila namatay. HAHA

Kilig number 3: PDA. Ryan Cayabyab has a new song he composed for the PDA scholars. This evening's episode he made them sing it. And OMG I totally love it. I am actually a fan of Filipino music- especially the mellow ones. I really believe Filipinos are one of the sweetest and most romantic people in the world. This characteristic greatly reflects in our music and Ryan Cayabyab is one of the most brilliant song writers talaga along with George Canseco, Louie Ocampo and Ogie Alcasid to name a few. The title is Another Goodbye Song. It's emotional, it's sad. But it was really beautiful- the melody, the lyrics, and okay, the voices of the PDA scholars did it justice. After the song Mister C gestured his hands trailed from his eyes to his cheeks. Sort of like 'nakakaiyak' and he mouthed 'It's so beautiful.' Damn right Mister C. Now make an album and I'll buy one! Errrr OR download the song at least? hehehehe

So there, the three things that made me emo today. I miss loving. I just realized I've been to busy with all the work- majors, org work, plus my health condition. I miss getting kilig. Good thing there are still ways to feel the love.

Cheers to all the loving!

Ugh, stress levels exceeding maximum tolerance

I have not posted anything new because one I AM SICK. And two I HAVE LOTS TO DO FOR MY MAJORS. Three, ABAM events have started.ABAM transorn

For the past week I have been coughing endlessly, my abs are painful because of coughing. I have not had a good sleep for the whole week. It's hard for me to breathe (No Air? hahaha kiddin!). I always wake up in the middle of the night to cough and cough to a point that tears really just flow uncontrollably from my eyes. I've experienced trying to sleep in an almost sitting position because I need to elevate my head to get air. At night I get fever too. I had fever while doing prefeasib.

I can't recite in class because I am voiceless. It's hard for me to take public transpo because saying bayad po, sa philcoa po and para is such an effort for me. I can't eat good food because I don't even get to taste them. I couldn't appreciate my Jollibee spaghetti and chicken joy yesterday, the free catered dinner from the YP event and my Chowking meals today. I bet if you feed me ampalaya, I'd eat it heartily. I CANNOT TASTE A THING. I can only feel the sensation like it's cold or spicy but that's it. For a week, I am only eating because I don't want to starve. But the flavor? It's all gone.

If there's anything good about my being sick, it's that people worry about you. They're all so sweet. They all wish that I get well soon. Some mandate me to get well. Haha And! Kaboses ko na si Sir Jeturian! HAHAHAHA (Speaking of Sir Jet...EMM! I have a surprise for you. hahaha)

I remember in 175 this afternoon, Ma'am Chin asked why the wealthy ones are usually the first movers in adapting new technology. I know I just had to answer! Lo and behold, she smiled upon hearing (or not hearing) my voice! HAHAHAHA For a clearer picture, I am seated front row, on her right. (Same seat I had back in our Acuña days). Howell, I guess that's an A for effort! haha

Yesterday, I cut class and went to MarkProf with some friends. Gawd I always die when I had to cough during a talk. After the event we went to Greenhills to an Art Exhibit of Yabang Pinoy. We met volunteers from other schools. It was really fun. I could have enjoyed even more if I had my voice. haaay.Art exhibit

Right now I am just taking my meds religiously. I really want to get well as soon as possible because
1. Case reports season is coming.
2. I wanna be able to recite in 177 and 172 and in all my other classes.
3. I want to catch up with my friends.
4. There's more work to come- I can't be sick coz it hampers my performance.
5. Pupunta kaming THE BUZZ! Marketing class. weeeee!
6. Magde-date kami ni Fa sa Lartizan at French Baker.

I'm excited to get my taste buds working again, my voice box running again and simply having a good night's sleep.

Laughter can kill

YAY! What's with today? Hmmmm...

Sir Ray Acedera was surprisingly early today! He arrived BEFORE 8:30, far from the usual 9:30 arrival. But I'm glad he did coz I super enjoyed the class discussion on 'Pacquiao' as a brand itself. It is so amazing when you see marketing in action. It's geeky cool and I totally love it. When you think about it, there is nothing new in marketing, really. There are only new ways to use the same details, frameworks and information. That's where the excitement comes.

Anyhooo, today we presented our brand introductions to the class. I am part of Team Head & Shoulders. Dianne and I were reporting and I was suuuuper kaduper nervous when Sir Ray was shuffling the papers. Our (friendly) competitor Clear was chosen to present first. Long story short, our team presented fourth and we were amazed on how active the class was in particiating. In the previous groups, Sir had to call a specific person to encourage class inputs but this one? Na-uh! Hands started to rocket up in the air, all eager to be given that precious chance (limited slots only!) of voicing your questions or comments to the reporting group. It was a very rewarding presentation, knowing that everyone in Team H&S really contributed to the paper and report. We've also hit certain issues that Sir Ray was hoping to hear. Farrah, don't be sad. Alam mo deep inside sabi ko talaga 'SHET BAWAL MAPAHIYA, KILALA NI SIR SI FA. GALINGAN NATIN FOR FA.' Naks, driving force ka na pala ngayon Mare! hahahahaha And! I must write in history...that after we presented (before questions were entertained) Sir said very good...TWICE. yehey! Don't get me wrong. I love the Clear group. And I totally believe it is a healthy competition. hurray!

Consumer behavior- We discussed the relationship of colors to personalities. Ms. Gamo asked us to think of certain products that are associated with colors. So people started enumerating blue water, green meadows (?). Aldren and I looked at each other and said 'napaka literal naman ng mga examples nilaaa'. So next color was brown...we suggested Brown wood, brown soil, everything colored brown. Then we'd laugh hard. Then Ms. Gamo says 'How about white?' I whispered to Aldren 'WHITE FLOWER.' (yung pang nahihilo) HE LAUGHED SO HARD FEELING KO NAGSCANDALO KAMI. HAHAHAHA.

Next! 190 class! OMG isa pa toh naloka ako! Sir Ilano (yuuuki!) At the end of the class, he announced he'll meet us next Thursday na so that's two meetings- eight days of no Sir Art Ilano. He said 'I'll see you Thursday!' Fa, Dianne and I replied 'AWWWWW with giggly laughs and he looked at us and said 'that's the right way to answer!' HAHAHAHA If only he knew we meant it by heart. hahaha And the 'awwww' wasn't planned ah! Each of us just felt the same way. shucks, nakakahiya. Pero keri lang. hahahaha

After classes, I had HR meetings and some catching up with friends Raish, Andy, and Caloi. Fa and i left for Trinoma for window shopping (wala kaming pera). We were actually hoping we could find feasib ideas while people watching. Well, we ended up trying the shoes at Zara, searched for a panda and shark stuffed toys, whatever good bargain we can find. We ended up purchasing a yummy baby back ribs meal at Kenny Rogers. Ayun, enjoy kain and kwentuhan of our Doña days that are so near na.

We trailed our way back to Philcoa, Fa on the wheel of course, when I received a random text message. I reacted so violently that I had to tell her the history of the message. Only after that, I laughed so hard. Fa begged while half laughing "WAG MO KO PATAWANIN MABABANGGA TAYO MABIBITAWAN KO YUNG CLUTCH." omg that was so hilarious and it was right at the time when we were supposed to turn right from the Elliptical road to Philcoa. Imagine how slow we were while turing right. hahahaha

I enjoyed today.as always. ;)
