I already mention the hot wakeboarders I saw at CWC but never really mentioned anything else so here goes!
So sorry I didn't take food shots because 1) I forget too often! 2) I end up taking a bite before remembering to take a shot. Meaning, the plating has been destroyed=not photogenic. 3) I'm shy to take photos of the food my bosses ordered. Next time nalang when I'm with friends! At least I can stop them from taking a bite until I get a good shot.
Cabanas. Behind are the container vans. All the accommodations except The Mansion are walking distance from the cable park.
First, the room. There are different types of accomodations at CWC. The famous container van, the log cabin, the cabanas and the hotel rooms at the mansion which is far from the cable park. We booked five cabanas for everyone in the trip. It's small, but good enough. It's supposed to be a place to sleep and bathe in, not to hang out because you'll probably spend most of the day outside the room. Airconditioning is good (as in I wear a jacket to sleep and still feel cold!), and the bathroom is clean. We didn't have soap though. You know, the tiny- almost half a centimeter thick freebie that you expect in decent accommodations. We later found out they actually provide soap. Probably the attendant forgot to leave one in our room. Anyway it wasn't much of an issue coz I bring my own soap whenever I travel. The bathroom had heat-adjustable faucets and showers by the way. The only confusing part is that the faucet had a hot-cold heater (pulled to the left and water flows hot, pulled to the right and water flows cold) but the shower had an opposite direction! I freaked out a bit coz the shower was too hot- as in pwede ka mag-kape! I managed to fix it after a few seconds. I'm not sure if its the same in other cabanas.
The attendants. Oh my gosh, where do I begin. I LOVE THEM! For some reason, they're genuinely niiice! Unlike other tourist places who are nicer to foreigners and just nice to locals. They greet everyone good morning. They engage you in small talks. Offer really good service. There's this gay room attendant who greeted me good morning when I was about to leave our cabana to have breakfast. He reminded me so much of Emm! He was mahinhin pero kikay. As in he had eyeliner and lip balm on. Sooo landi! hahaha
"Good morning m'aam!"
Hi!
"Papalinis kayo ng room ma'am?"
Uhhh, sige. Ngayon na ba?
"Okay po-uh. Mamaya maya na po-uh." (The "po-uh" is like po but with that flair or twang in the end. Sooo bading in a good way!)
Then at the Mansion where we had a meeting, the waiters (we had our lunch served in the conference room) were just so polite, quick, efficient and exceptionally nice. Uh, I'm so impressed! It's like they're all so happy to be working there. Sometime that day, there was no water in the bathroom of our conference room and attendants came immediately.
The waiters at the clubhouse were nice too. Although they're slightly forgetful (took us at least three times before our water came), they were very patient and polite.
The Clubhouse.
Their wakeboard-shaped menu. Cute detail!
The service. I mentioned the good people already. Now their service. At the clubhouse, it's a pretty decent waiting time. Ten minutes was the longest I waited, I think. The best service was the room cleaning. THEY FOLDED MY CLOTHES! hahahaha That morning I laid my clothes flat on the bed to remove some creasing due to folding in my bag. There were only two hangers so I couldn't hang all my clothes. When I got back, even my used jacket was folded in style! I was sooo amazed I had to take a picture. Day two of cleaning, it was my dad who left his bed cluttered. When we got back, his stuff were piled neatly! Crazy! Even our phone chargers were rolled and placed on top of the bedside table. I never even do that to my chargers at home. Usually I don't like strangers touching my stuff because I might lose something but I noticed the attendants only fix stuff on your bed. Our cabinet was still the same cluttered space when we got back so that's really nice.
My neatly folded clothes.
All in all, it was a great experience at CWC. It would have been better if I tried wakeboarding but I promise I will when I visit with friends.
