Learnings

I am so loving the 198 class of Jim Lafferty. In the past three sessions with him, we've learned so much about being a leader- the qualities of a good leader, the responsibilities and the proper way to act like a leader. And of course it starts with punctuality.

Every person who comes into the room while he speaks must stay at the end of the class to do 50 push-ups. I was never late coz I'm not the type who'd come late. haha But a lot of my classmates usually come late so every after class, it's fun to cheer the people (both boys and girls) until they reach 50. Last week he came 2 minutes late and did push-ups with his bodyguard and his driver at the end of the class. (i'll post photos soon.) But one time we had a classmate who came in late and didn't do it. Well, it's her loss. KAPAL NG MUKHA NIYA. One more time and ilalaglag ko siya talaga. hahaha

Anyhooo, I mentioned that Jim always reminds us that A principle is not a principle until it costs you something. Well, fresh from the class and film viewing held at P&G Petron Tower, my principles were tested today. The Yellow Aztecs futsal team played and lost the first game. It was frustrating but then again, what's new? hahaha Anyhooo, our star teammate April from AIESEC was sick and wanted to go home however she also feels bad about leaving the team to play the last game. I advised her to just go home and not to worry about us. It's better than jeopardizing her health. Player's welfare over team victory- that's one thing I learned from the fim Hoosiers. And that's one decision I will never regret. Well, we lost in that next game but it didn't matter, we enjoyed playing anyway.

I am just really thankful I took the class. I feel that every time I think, decide or talk to my orgmates, I gradually improve myself and little by little I come closer to being a good leader to them. I wanna share these lessons to them soon. hehe

Oh well, Saturday mornings never felt so fulfilling.
