No pressure kind of pressure

Today is hiphop Saturday! Was actually anxious to go back to class because Jen pulled off a really good joke on (Coach) Prince and I need to break the truth. Of course that didn't happen because Prince never really engages in small talks with us so FML#1.

The steps are harder now! As in WTH why can't I follow? Eventually I was able to keep up but it was more of trying not to embarrass myself. And the room was quite packed, I couldn't move freely coz we'd end up too close to each other. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

Two of our classmates got special mention for really 'grooving'. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I'VE ALWAYS THOUGHT I'M NOT A BAD DANCER BUT TODAY, I'M BEGINNING TO DOUBT THAT. FML#2 :)) For some reason, I couldn't groove without looking like a trunk (was gonna say 'stick' but we all know why it doesn't fit).

And my goodness we have teenagers as classmates. Feeling ko talaga, if we were all in the same age group, gora na sa giling-giling noh! I can imagine a class full of ASAP jokes and banats and I just can't do that in this class. I feel that if we're all 'friends', we can groove without having to think that someone will laugh at us.

Prince probably saw our frustration OR worse, he was frustrated with how we moved. He kept telling us to "relax, don't get pressured, just have fun." But many times he made us repeat that 'getting the groove' move. That's obviously a sign of 'why are they not getting it?!' in a mentor-ly fashion. You know what's crazier? He had this pep talk about grooving before he dismissed us. Did we really suck that bad?

Needless to say I went home frustrated. Thank goodness Cams was there in class. Jen and Fa couldn't make it. If I was 'alone', I bet it'd be even moooore frustrated.

Oh well. Maybe next week it'll be better. I'll make friends na nga with our 'special mentioned' classmates! I could sure learn a thing or two. haha Btw, one of them said 'Hindi naman siguro ikaw yung na-injure dahil sa Steve Martin in heels?' Wow. Ang galing ng acting ni Jen. SIKAT NA AKO. hahaha Well, I told them it was a joke but I would have preferred it was Prince who asked. I guess the joke's on me? FML #3.

Oh, I wanna share something I tweeted today.

I guess it should be more about fun than the dancing skills !

Yes! That'll be my new approach in my future classes. Have fun and forget the not-so-perfect moves! Game face on!
