Validation required

I had no idea that ID validation existed in the summer term. Until I had to look for a book in the main library. After eating lunch with Jam at CASAA, I busied myself thinking of a tactic to get into the library using my unvalidated ID. I decided to clip it on my shorts (Jam's advice), on my left thigh, so that manong guard won't try to get hold of the ID.

I brilliantly got through the manong, and second through the lady at the Social sciences section. But I sort of lost my luck when Claire and I went to the Filipiniana Section to borrow the book we needed. We stumbled upon this old lady who looked like Mahal but only four feet taller. Her bright pink lipstick was cracked and her face, wrinkled and blotchy. She called my attention even if we were past her table already and said "ID mo." so I showed it to her, hoping she'd let me in since there were less than 5 people in the area (including her). She said "Hindi ka enrolled?" I just said I wasn't enrolled so that I'd have a reason not to have my summer sticker. And she goes..."hindi ka pwedeng pumasok ng library. kaya pala ayaw mo ipakita ID mo." Oh I swear I wanted to kill her. I stayed outside the Filipiniana section while Claire went inside to view our book. It turns out that the book cannot be taken outside of the library. The lady even barred Claire from showing me the book even if I was just a few feet away from Claire. She stared at us a couple of times. Anyhooo...

I suggested we go to the other libraries where the book was also available. We were lucky to find two copies of the book at the Home Economics library and they were very nice to lend us one. IN YOUR FACE, FILIPINIANA SECTION LADY! I will never go back to that place. Evil, inconsiderate people, and smelly, hot and moldy basement. I like the HomeEcon Library. It's airconditioned, well lit and the people are extremely nice. Mas hi-tech pa sa BA ang book-borrowing system nila ha! I also enjoyed the brainstorming session with Anabee, Claire, and Nykes. We had a lot of crazy ideas and we are so excited to get started. wooot!
